Sources tell FOX31 Denver reporter Justin Joseph that a second man is now a person-of-interest in the Aurora theater shooting investigation. We are not disclosing his identity because he has not been charged.
Twelve people were killed and 58 injured early Friday when James Egan Holmes allegedly opened fire inside the crowded theater.
Neighbors of the person of interest say for the past two days there have been SWAT team and police cars in their alley and unmarked cars in street.
“He’s been there about a year,” said one neighbor.
Agents showed up again this morning.
“I woke up this morning with cops still here trying to look inside his home. At 5:00 a.m. cops showed-up and asked me about (him).”
Sources tell Justin Joseph someone made a call from the person of interest’s phone threatening violence if James Egan Holmes was not released from jail. That call prompted police to issue an alert to find and detain him.

In the early hours, there was word of a second suspect.
About a year? Isn’t that close to the same amount of time Holmes has been there? Knew him from CA?

Maybe it’s the guy who let him in the emergency door. It’s on Drudge. Makes sense. Somebody had to let him in. Apparently some dude with a cell phone in the front row took a call, got up, went to the emergency door, came back, sat down, moments later dick wad enters and starts murdering people.
So there was a second person involved after all? Wow. This would change the case.
If that is the case, then we have conspiracy charges to add to things.
Criminal conspiracy + 12 counts of homicide on # 2 for starters.

According to early (possibly incorrect) reports, the shooter went out the emergency exit, kept it from latching, prepared himself, and re-entered the theater through it. His having an accomplice is certainly a possibility.
I wonder if this “person of interest” isn't just some other nutcase wanting in on the notoriety? Or - if the shooter was part of the OWS black pantie group (or whatever it was called) - if the caller is with the same group?
Do they have a camera image of the red hair guy actually buying the ticket or walking into the theater? I mean if it was dark in there how do they know that the person who left through the exit wasn’t an accomplice and then the red hair man came in all dressed up.

We also had news recently that Holmes spent around 15K to prepare. I wonder if this person of interest had more to do than just opening the emergency exit?

Just FWIW: It’s possible to spoof cell phones, sending someone else’s information to 911. Backtracking the call will determine whether it was really made from his phone, but at an early stage just the fact that his number was recorded doesn’t mean a whole lot.
He parked in back, bought a ticket, and walked in. HE exited the back exit, propped open the door, walked a few feet to his car, got the weapons and walked back in and started shooting.
Second shooter stories came from people in the second theater being shot through the walls. Initial reports were that people were being shot in two theaters because of this.
He exits out the back door to get into his car and escape. Shucking the helmet and gear, rifle had a stoppage. (100 round mags aren’t as dependable as the good old 20 or 30)
He was surprised by that one minute response time and by the fact that some cops totally had the drop on him. He had taken several vicoden and was half stoned. Got the turd.
It really isnt that complicated.

Only saw the movie once, but did not the original Joker break out of jail ? You know that he at least had some type of plan.
He also made have used a backup. Call someone in the theater and ask if the coast is clear. Then when they say yes, tell them you are going for the door, if it wont open, you will have to open it. That could be the plan of a diabolical genius like the Joker, but script writing is not my forte.

I am thinking the same thing. could be many factors there. Perhaps the parents floated him a loan? Who knows.
What I want to know is where did the kid get tear gas? Explosives? Body Armor? You can't mail order this stuff. I know by looking at bullet proof vests for the hell of it a couple months ago. These are listed as "Law Enforcement Only" items. I don't put on the tin foil hat often but are we looking at Fast and Furious II? ( UN gun vote coming up.) I will really wonder if Obama and the Media go full retard on gun control next week. (Trot out the victims, etc.)

Just a thought…..is it possible JH bought the ticket, walked out the back door, and his room mate, already fully dressed, walked in, committed the crime, then fled the scene. When the cops arrive JH surrenders, gives up the back at home Intel “possibility of explosives”, and is assumed to be a lone gunman, so the person who actually committed the shootings gets away Scot free? Who in the theatre can Identify the shooter if he was fully encased in gear, no one actually saw his face right? If he had a room mate as reported, might this have been the course of events?
If true, this becomes even more reminiscent of the Columbine tragedy. Was this second guy suspected of participating in the shootings and then fleeing the scene in all the chaos?
He’s an unusual looking guy, too, very westernized, has a Justin Bieber bowlcut, but despite the apparent unseriousness of his appearance he’s already widely published in his field, looks about twelve but born in I believe 1982.
Wonder if he’s an NIH grant recipient as well?

According to KMGH, the person of interest was questioned tonight in connection with sending a text message. NOT a suspect in shootings.
