I hate to shock folks, but I’ve never seen a calf anesthetized before being castrated and branded. IIRC, they make the biggest fuss being dehorned. That is done without being anesthetized, too.
Docking tails from lambs...ditto.
The same people who cry about the way food animals are treated demand that we all subject our pets to major surgery that removes their hormone systems and would like to do it by force of law. I do not understand Animal Rights Activists.
