Planned Parenthood on Monday sued the state of Arizona in an effort to overturn a law that blocks funding for its health clinics because the organization also performs abortions.
The law, signed by Governor Jan Brewer in May, is part of a national campaign against Planned Parenthood orchestrated by conservatives Republican lawmakers who oppose abortions. In the past two years, 13 states have taken steps to eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood, and the organization has filed lawsuits in six of them, including Arizona.
Planned Parenthood says abortions account for only 3 percent of its services, which include cancer screening and birth control.
"It is wrong for the state to tell Arizonans who they can and cannot see for their healthcare. The men and women of this state have the right to see the healthcare provider they deem is best for them," said Bryan Howard, president and chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood Arizona. The group, whose legal team for the case includes the American Civil Liberties Union, filed the suit in U.S. District Court in Arizona, according to Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood hides under a huge umbrella of lies-—always has done so.
The feds give planned parenthood money and they use it to sue the states?
First of all, what article of the constitution entitles a private entity to tax payer dollars in the first place?

AZ just can’t catch a break with everyone and their dog dumping on them.
As for 'cancer screening', the only way they can do that is by doing pap-smears or breast examinations. NONE of the clinics, contrary to popular opinion, have the facilities to provide mammograms. They have to refer the client to a doctor's office or a hospital for that procedure.

There is no acceptable percentage for premeditated coercive murder. The organization is despicable and evil. IMHO
If abortions only make up such a small percentage of their services for women, then perhaps Planned Parenthood should not perform abortions I their Arizona locations. That way, the women who need health services would be able to get them, and Arizona would continue to fund their services.
Of course, Planned Parenthood is lying and everyone knows it.
PP doesn’t already get enough taxpayer money to keep its murder mills running? Now they have to sue for more?
There are plenty of legitimate medical facilities that provide genuine healthcare services. No woman is stuck with PP as her only option.
