Full title: How do you solve a problem like Sarah? Romney misses out in stand-off with loose cannon diva who could deliver him the backing of the Tea Party.

If he and his people were as smart as they think they are, the answer would be obvious: Pick her as running mate!! Can you imagine the first day's contributions?

She catalyzed the American conservative movement anew, when the GOP-e's previously anointed CINO (McCain) failed miserably in so doing... and where their current CINO du jour (Mittens) is pinwheeling and pratfalling, just as predictably.

They will never, ever, EVER forgive her for that.

Taken the conones of the Obamadork (none), add to it the cojones of Mittens RINOmney (almost immeasurable), multiply the sum by 10 million, and you get the cojones of Sarah.

It’s also interesting to note that she still has more leadership skills and experience in government than both of the above mentioned dorkheads.

We’re so screwed - having to choose between a incumbent felonious, cretinous vapid dork, and a mere vapid dork.

Such is the fate of a doomed country.

The fact that Romney is in a quandary about “what to do about” Sarah Palin shows that he was the WRONG choice for the GOP nominee.

Here’s hoping that the GOP does the right thing and tosses this klutz overboard at the convention. Doubt it will happen, but one can always hope.

Pick her as running mate!!

Why would she want to do that? She would tell him to get stuffed.

I'm thinking he likes Condoleeza Rice. She's single and eligible as a sister-wife to Ann.

She wouldn’t accept anything from the man who was behind trashing her and HER FAMILY for four years.

I do not understand the headline. There is no problem with Sarah (Palin), unless you are a liberal.

I held my nose and voted for McLame because of Sarah, I won’t do it again. NOTHING will make me vote for Mittens

I’m voting for a conservative this election.

Regarding this ‘stand off’ - I think Mittens expects Sarah to ‘fall in line’ (like he thinks all women should) regardless of what he does, and I fear he is right.

Sadly, I expect her to cave and still not get the invite.

Pick her as running mate!!

No, you pick Allen West as your running mate and let him hit the campaign trail with Sarah to shore up your "Right" flank.

Romney's treatment of Sarah in the last election and his actions in this primary seals the deal for me. I will not vote for Romney. When and if my fellow Republicans decide to take back our country, give me a call. Save the OMG we have to get Obama out stuff.

What quandary?

Sara Palin doesn’t hold political office and isn’t running for anything. She is now a media commentator.

It would be no more appropriate to for the GOP to invite Sara Palin to speak at the convention than it would be for the Dems to invite Andrea Mitchell.

Sarah who?

I've been told here on FR that Romney is our savior, and that we must ignore such irrelevancies as "what's her name." (See tagline)

No problem. Stop posing as a conservative, and just admit you’re an acceptable RINO because you’re not Obama. TEA partiers can either take you or leave you, as they see fit. Give her a voice in the administration, perhaps a cabinet level post. State? I would love it.

Rotmney needs to be shown the door in Tampa!

He is not the GOP pick.

He is the DNC II pick.

Rush barely scrapped the truth for a brief moment today.

He noticed how viscous Myth was and is to GOP candidates, VS how kid gloved he is towards the DNC candidate.

It's because Myth is NOT a Republican! He's just another illuminati finger puppet! It's disheartening that over half of even FR peeps still believe in the puppet show!

No refunds folks. Stop buying the ticket!

"Loose cannon diva"? LOL, C'mon Daily Mail, you can do better than that!

Hmmm, lessee, howabout "loose-hussy cannon-firing lightweight-diva"?

Uh, lipstick... "loose-hussy cannon-firing lightweight-lipsticked-diva"?

Heels... red heels... red high-heels...

"Loose-red-high-heeled-hussy cannon-firing lightweight-lipsticked-diva"?

Moose. Right?

"Loose-red-high-heeled-hussy cannon-firing-moose-killing lightweight-lipsticked-diva"?

Yes! Got it!

Her 2008 vice presidential speech was a highlight of John McCain’s campaign, but also proved to to be the moment that she began to outshine him.

Romney is afraid of a repeat performance.

When will the masses finally realize that they do not select the candidates? They only participate in the motions to make the final selection palatable and to trumpet to the world about our republic of the people, by the people and for the people along with free elections. Yeah, free elections for candidates chosen by the unseen, especially within the two major parties. No criminal family, political or otherwise is going to allow outsiders to get involved in family business!!!

“She is the Tea Party diva who lit up the 2008 Presidential campaign. “

Tea Party and diva don’t belong in the same sentence. And Mittens can KMA.

“The result is that the Republican presidential candidate is left without the endorsement of a woman who can energise his base in a way he can only dream of.”

And if one votes for someone just because of an endorsement, I would question that person’s ability to think for themself.

I don't think he'll pick Palin as a running mate. Despite what an excellent choice she would be otherwise, it would tie him back to the failed McCain campaign. Perception is currency at these things.

That said, they shouldn't try to alienate Palin for the simple reason that she will be everywhere! The media will swarm about her like annoying gnats around honey.

If Romney wants any chance at reining her in and keeping her "on message" (his message, whatever that will turn out to be), he needs to keep her close, not push her away.

I'm looking forward to her interviews and commentary.

Imagine Romney asking her and word got out that she turned him down, flat. That would do irreparable damage to his campaign. He indeed does have a dilemma on his hands. He has to come up with a way to at least neutralize her lack of a clear cut endorsement of his pitiful candidacy.

Sarah is in the catbirds seat right about now and the Romnney-oid knows it. I personally believe Sarah should not endorse Romney-oid short of saying something to the effect of, "well, if Mitt is the Republican candidate come November then I'll vote the Republican candidate in the race no matter who that is".
