All I can say is, now we know what Mitt really thinks of conservatives.

If Mitt excludes Palin, I will be home on election day.
I thought he was “bigger” than this.
MEMO TO MITT: Be small and fail.

I find it interesting. The vast majority of the ‘right wing’ was in lockstep agreement with Palin’s policies and vision for the future. Most of the time such a person gets elected.

But in this case, they were strangely opposed to the wrapper those ideas came in. Not for any logical reason *see above), but because it was “Palin”.

Had it been any other person in the GOP, they’d have kicked the doors down to back that person. But it was “Palin” so they did not. Right here on FR many of the people who are in near lockstep with Palin’s ideas and vision RE energy, social issues, taxation et all, saddled up and rode for the brand...that brand being PDS. Because it was “Palin”.

Now, when Romney needs conservatives more than ever in order to seal his deal, what does the GOP do?

Comes down with a relapse of PDS. Oh, they are publicly 100% behind her ideas as always...they just don’t like the wrapper they come in. Because it’s “Palin”. May they get what they so righteously earned.

She should just show up, arm-in-arm with West. It would be interesting to see how many people gravitate toward them and how many toward the RINOs.

Go for it Sarah and Alan, PLEASE!

Mitt still hasn’t invited Sarah to the GOP’s nomination assembly in Tampa, and the Tea Party is livid.

It's not Romney's convention. This author is just flinging feces against the wall to see what sticks.

It’s a race to see which candidate can tick off more of his base.

SSDD

Mr. RomneyCARE has always been jealous of Gov. Palin.

He is not competent as is she.

FLASHBACK:

The McCain/Palin ticket was up ++4 to 10 pts
in some polls, days prior to Election 2008.
So rather than helping the GOP, Romney and
TeamROMNEY and the RNME (Republican National Media Establishment)
decided …to attack Gov. Palin to throw Election2008.

Romney, and the Van der Sloot RNME RINOs for Obama in 2008

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

“What can I say?” she responded in an email from Alaska, when asked by Newsweek about the convention, just before heading to Michigan to deliver an Obama-thumping speech. “I’m sure I’m not the only one accepting consequences for calling out both sides of the aisle for spending too much money, putting us on the road to bankruptcy, and engaging in crony capitalism.”

Yes, yes, and yes.... to most all of the thought above. But let’s not forget one thing...

Sarah decided not to run for the nomination. Would she have gotten it if she had? I think it is highly possible. But, for whatever reason, she didn’t.

Now, I want her onboard, I think Mitt needs her onboard, but the fact of the matter is, she put herself in the position she’s in.

I don't think Mitt has any say on who gets invited to the convention.

And wasn't there a thread on here a few days ago throwing Sarah under the bus for supporting Mitt?

That's almost the dumbest thing he could do, other than pour gasoline on himself and ask for a match.

Could it be that Romney is actually throwing the race and this is a means to lose conservative voters? For such a smart and successful guy he’s also letting the obozo camp define who he is and yet says nothing about who obozo really is nor how obozo’s executive orders have made him more like a tyrant than a president. Romney is blowing it and he’s doing so by design.

Only read part of the article so far and it accurately catches my sentiment under the Tea Party sentiment - incredible lost opportunity for authentic conservative like Palin and Romney is just a half solution to Obama.

I do understand why his consultants and campaign are leery of inviting Palin. It’s the same reason McCain went to every stop with her for the first week after the convention (not to be upstaged). It is very common and silly conventional wisdom.

The idea she would say anything to hurt Mitt is absurd...they know she is passionate about removing Obama.

When Buchanan challenged the sitting president in ‘92 primary, he was invited and spoke at the convention in Houston that year. This is really silly.

I don’t think the author has any inside information on Palin though...she plays it close to the vest.

This election is tough to lose. However, the GOP, Romney and the Rombots will work very hard to find a way to lose. It is going to be tough to pull it off, but they could squeak through to lose the election.

One of the biggest names in conservative politics, and they are trying to keep her away.

Keep it up idiots. As a matter of fact, this could actually be good for conservatives.

If Mitt totally snubs Sarah at the convention it could very well cost him the election.

If his campaign team thinks he is the only game in town for conservatives that attitude would be a big mistake this time around.
