Only read part of the article so far and it accurately catches my sentiment under the Tea Party sentiment - incredible lost opportunity for authentic conservative like Palin and Romney is just a half solution to Obama.

I do understand why his consultants and campaign are leery of inviting Palin. It’s the same reason McCain went to every stop with her for the first week after the convention (not to be upstaged). It is very common and silly conventional wisdom.

The idea she would say anything to hurt Mitt is absurd...they know she is passionate about removing Obama.

When Buchanan challenged the sitting president in ‘92 primary, he was invited and spoke at the convention in Houston that year. This is really silly.

I don’t think the author has any inside information on Palin though...she plays it close to the vest.

Yes, I always found it laughable (even from those on FR) who would on one side of the mouth approve of all that she said, and the other side would claim she was incredibly stupid.

They never got the idiocy of that.

If you’re not voting for him anyway, what do you care who goes to the convention ?

If Mittens wins and he pulls out his radical economic and social thing, the Tea Party will work to block him like we have with the other radical.

Hopefully we will win enough seats in Congress to tie the Rinos into knots.

As the beast on the left ebbs..the beast on the right flows.

The “radical center” emerges...180 out from the true center.

Incremental thought adjustment...as those that think they are conservative and Romney supporters will find out.

Obama supporters have already had their adjustments, which is why when Obama loses....wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Some of the most virulent PDSers would argue across any number of threads in support of the things she was talking about. All of the above energy being a primary topic. Yet these self-same people would be in attendance on every Palin thread bashing the crap out of her.

Absolute freaking morons.

These same people (the ones still here) are making up the majority of the Pro-Romney contingent on FR today. Gee...what are the odds?

A woman with a solid track record of conservatism was too stupid/ignorant/ditzy/etc to be unworthy of support, yet a hard liberal with an open record hostile to the very things these fools claim to believe in “IS” worthy of not only support, but worth trashing every freeper who won’t tow the GOPe line. And there are thousands of threads to prove it beyond ANY doubt.

Yea... makes perfect sense /s

This election is tough to lose. However, the GOP, Romney and the Rombots will work very hard to find a way to lose. It is going to be tough to pull it off, but they could squeak through to lose the election.

One of the biggest names in conservative politics, and they are trying to keep her away.

Keep it up idiots. As a matter of fact, this could actually be good for conservatives.

Yes, that is my hope and belief also.

Actually I was asking the troll, who never has any answers, but has plenty of attack re-runs.

She should just show up, arm-in-arm with West.

That would be perfect... must see TV!!

She should seriously do that if the Tea party and conservatives are sidelined.

Watch the RINO's and the Rombots run around like crazy.

If Mitt excludes Palin, I will be home on election day.

COWARD.

The down-ballot races need your votes even of Romney doesn't in Maryland.

And wasn't there a thread on here a few days ago throwing Sarah under the bus for supporting Mitt?

Shhhhh!! And there was another when she said Condi Rice would make a fine running mate for Romney too.

Palin deserves far better than the cult of personality that claim to be her supporters. With supporters like those, the woman needs no enemies.

Exactly. Romney doesn’t control the invite list.

You can't really think that? Romney engineered this train and he isn't about to let some party hack derail it for him.

If Mitt totally snubs Sarah at the convention it could very well cost him the election.

If his campaign team thinks he is the only game in town for conservatives that attitude would be a big mistake this time around.

People accuse Palin supporters of being myopic fans who don’t know or care about practical politics. Let’s set aside the fact that insofar as we saw Palin as being better on the merits than anybody else in the 2012 field, including the current nominee presumptive, it looks as if our eyes were working just fine. Let’s discuss practical politics.

If you, the nominee presumptive, treat a major figure in the party and her supporters as dispensable, and you hire senior campaign management and communications staff who, with their buddies in the party, the consultancy, and the political media, have been trashing her, both on and off the record, all the way back to the last election, when she was the vice-presidential nominee, people will notice, not least the figure and her supporters themselves. And unsurprisingly, your treating them like crap generally doesn’t make them all that enthusiastic about supporting you. Especially if the figure in question was never a candidate, and therefore has no obligations other than to what she considers best for the country in general and perhaps her future political viability in particular (neither of which necessarily requires supporting you). Gee. Breaking the Eleventh Commandment has consequences? Amazing.

Yep. The convention is the candidate’s showcase. In modern times, that’s just how it is. Speaking of practical politics.

Only G_d has that power! Until we turn to him, we are going in a very bad direction!

YES, YES, YES! The forces against us are “legion” and well organized for evil. There is only One Power greater and if we do not avail ourselves of Him we are doomed as a nation. WAKE UP AND PRAY!
