The change heralded by the Gerald R. Ford class of carriers –

Well, that pretty much explains it, the carrier named for one of this country's BIGGEST DISGRACES, wuss, p*ssy, RINO, bottom-feeding, POS, posing as a "Republican," so it stands to reason that all who serve aboard should be expected to "Squat to pee!"

This girly-guy, "cross the aisle" and bow to the wishes of the Rat Party in the name of "Bi-partisanship," abrogated his sworn obligation to uphold the Constitution and ignored our "Committment" as outlined in the Paris Peace Accords to intervene on the side of our allies (S. Vietnam) should the North make an effort to take over or conquer the South.

THIS Asshat, stood by and allowed this to happen which consigned HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of S. Vietnam (WHO WERE NAIVE ENOUGH TO "TRUST" US) to re-education camps, torture, executions and deaths as they attempted to escape their new COMMUNIST masters.

To this day, I have no idea what happened to the dozens and dozens of personal "Friends" and others (Vietnamese Army Personnel I worked with) I had developed during my 18-months tour of duty.

That was when I left the Republican Party and have since, been an "Independent, Conservative."

Wow, talk about wrongly focused anger. You might want to take a quick look at the make up of Congress during Fords tenure. YOu really blame him for what the Democrat Congress did?

You're right about the egregious and hateful way America treated her former allies, but lay the blame where it belongs, on the Democrats in Congress and their liberal Republican buddies like Jake Javitz, Mark Hatfield, Charles Percy, Bob Packwood, and Lowell Weicker who voted to abrogate their obligations under the Paris Peace Accord.

To blame an unelected, caretaker President for not acting decisively and forcefully to do anything beyond hold the nation together is a bit much. Gerry Ford was just fine for what America needed.
