What a sily statement.Haven't you heard that there's not a gram of trans fat to be found in the entire city??? Things couldn't be better IMO.
Thank you Russell Simons and friends, your Hip Hop Thug Culture, you should be so proud
The perp was probably hopped up on two liter bottles of sugary soda. Something needs to be done.
Thanks jimbo123. The perp was upset about not being able to buy an adequately-sized caffeinated sugared carbonated canned beverage.
I live there. It’s back to the Dinkins days, minus the trans fat and salt.
I remember waiting sitting in the car with my mother under the tressle for my grandmother who was visiting from Boston, at that exact train station around 1955. There were lots of people coming and going, all the men were wearing suits and hats and the ladies all had dresses. A man fell down the stairs leading to sidewalk near where we were parked, and a crowd of people gathered around him. In my recollections, almost all the people were white.
It was a clean safe place, six decades ago.
It isn’t “turning into” cesspool. It always has been a cesspool...it is just that the cover is off and more people are falling in. New York...New York...
The wounded officer, stabbed in the left eye and shot, was rushed to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition - though hes expected to survive, an MTA rep said.
Yes, but thanks to bloomburg they do not get too much saturated fat and the supersize me menu is going the way of the dinasaurs.
Officer John Barnett, an 11-year veteran, then shot and killed the assailant in the 9:30 a.m. holiday confrontation, the sources said.

Prayers for the officer.
I wonder if the title had been changed at the source. The URL contains the words “stabbed-face.”
Too bad the officer didn’t kill the perp first.
I imagine a NYPost title change is what happened. The FR thread title has now been changed, too.
