It's on his to-do list, but U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says the odds are against repealing the health care law championed by President Barack Obama.

The Kentucky Republican said Monday it's hard to unravel something of the magnitude of the 2,700-page health care law, WHAS-TV reports.

"If you thought it was a good idea for the federal government to go in this direction, I'd say the odds are still on your side," McConnell said. "Because it's a lot harder to undo something than it is to stop it in the first place."

What an ass....first order of business, this clown needs be put down from the leadership roll, appoint him senate majority latrien scrubber.

This is what I suspected all along, some of the GOP squishes were just as happy to go along with this law as were the dems.

He’s been groping for his friends across the aisle far too long! These Republicrats call it bi-partisanship, but it’s really disgusting. There are, as you know, no friends of America across the aisle and too damned few friends in the ranks of the Republicrat Party!

Thanks for posting.

Like a wounded animal, the anti-American hard-left media has to go nuclear to try to SAVE HUSSEIN.

No lie is too big for Big Media, as they have declared themselves justified in anything in order to SAVE HUSSEIN.

I just have a hard time when I realize that so many of these monsters have families that they have to go home and teach such lies and hatred for anyone without a “D” after their name.

Geriatric Old Plotters.

They are to conservative policy as Vidkun Quisling is to Norwegian national defense.

I just posted Costa’s interview as a separate thread. I do hope others will read it. Excerpt:

Costa: On a final note, what’s your message to conservatives and tea-party activists who are suspicious of Republican leaders and their commitment to repeal?

McConnell: Boy, I don’t know how they could be suspicious on this issue. Every single Republican in the House and Senate voted against Obamacare. I must have made 125 speeches about it on the floor. If there is any area where I don’t think conservatives of any stripe should be concerned, it would be this one. We’ve been clear and unambiguous about Obamacare from the beginning to the end — all of it. And I led the fight in the Senate, so I know what I’m talking about.

I think he’s correct.
If 51 senators need to vote yea, then there needs to be a 60+ repub majority to offset the rinos. Unlikely.

The other senator from KY would make a better majority leader.

Well, that's ONE Paul I can support....

Please read #13.

As Hussein goes down hard, watch Big Media’s hatred of the truth get worse.

Bigger and bigger lies are their only hope.

FU BO and the media sycophants you rode in on!

Why don't you read this:

"Earlier this week, according to WHAS-TV in Louisville, you predicted that it will be “a lot harder” to repeal President Obama’s health-care law. Why is that the case?

Well, I don’t know how they got that comment out of what I had to say.

Let me give you my view, clearly and unambiguously. Repeal of Obamacare will be the first item up in the Senate if I am majority leader. If we have a president who will sign the bill, we will do everything we can to get it off the books, and we’ll be looking for every angle that could be pursued. There has been a lot of talk about reconciliation. The Chief Justice said this is a tax, and we take him at his word, so that certainly makes this eligible for reconciliation. But that may not be the only avenue that we pursue. Our goal will be to get it off the books. In my view, it is the single worst piece of legislation that has been passed in modern times, and I’ve said that on numerous occasions. It’s still my view. And just because the Supreme Court has decided it is constitutional doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do."

How did people like McConnel and Bonehead become the power brokers? in the, Rino I mean, Republican Party?
Kind of reminds me of small towns where the insiders push a doofus for Mayor. For the purposes of getting away with all kinds of shenanigans.

Whoa!

I was so discouraged reading the headline as I thought McConnell was one of the sort-of good ones. The media is going full force in lie mode.

The headline is a fake. I take back my former comment.

Maybe it can be taken out of breaking news.

And let me say National Review is a treasure.

Much prayer is necessary.

What do you expect from a Republicrat? Giving up before we even start - that’s their way. It’s really very easy - repeal the tax and don’t fund the bureaucracy.

Maybe if you would stop believing everything you hear in the newsmedia you claim you don’t believe in the first place.

Well, which is it:

McConnell: We’ll Repeal Obamacare, One Way or Another

I’m already hearing commercials on the radio (WABC) from Healthcare.gov about a black grandfather and grandson playing ball and all the free screenings etc the grandfather can now get.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

The Founders expected Congress, the Law Makers, to be more powerful than either the Court or the Executive. We need to move away from administrative law. Force the executive departments to get approval from Congress for every regulation. The Executive cannot make law per the Constitution. This needs to be a campaign just like the 2nd Amendment and Life movements.

I don’t understand Mitch’s contention that the bill will be hard to repeal because it’s “2,700 pages long.” What does that have to do with its anti-Constitution dictates and its violation of religious freedom?

I’m getting very tired of receiving at least 3 pieces of correspondence per day from legislators asking for money to DO THEIR JOBS.

Mitch, if you think the task is too formidable, step down and let an enthusiastic conservative attack the problem.

By the way, thanks for providing the left with an excellent sound byte to use in the future. Contending a task is nearly impossible before the battle begins is a great way to invigorate the opposition.

None of the elites want it repealed. Big corporations want full on socialized medicine.

I don’t see this changing.
