Posted on 07/02/2012 4:39:50 PM PDT by Nachum
Conservative interest in the presidential election hit stratospheric levels following last weeks Supreme Court ruling upholding Obamacare, noted pollster and author Scott Rasmussen tells Newsmax.TV.
All that did was energize conservatives, declared Rasmussen in an exclusive interview on Monday. The conservative interest in the election was already much higher than that of moderates and liberals. It went up to really stratospheric levels right after the ruling. We dont know if that will continue or if its just a temporary response to the news cycle.

Well, yeah. I am.
I’m gonna vote my conscience and go with Romney. I guess a lot of freepers will be voting their consciences too and going 3rd party.
“We dont know if that will continue or if its just a temporary response to the news cycle.”
It isn’t temporary.
It isn’t just because of CommieCare.
Conservatives are owners. That is they have a vested interest in the future of the country they love. We don’t burn white hot and then fizzle out like self-serving leftists, including assorted perverts and parasites, condescending useless academics, Union deadasses, and minority racists.
“don’t know if this will continue or it’s just “.....are these folks nuts? Yes, we’re angry and it’s not just a short term anger...........and after watching Bob Beckel today I’m more po’d then before.....the libs are idiots!
I was not going to vote for Romney. I was adamant against him. I’m voting for him now. The tea is in the harbor. There’s no turning back now. It’s 1774 again and we’ve just been handed the intolerable acts.
I live in Nebraska.
I’m seriously considering dragging an effigy to Ben Nelson’s place for burning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And your idea of going to war is to vote for Romney. Wow.
Boner said we have to rip Obamacare out by the roots. I’d like to rip Nazi’s dyed, spritzed, coiffed hair out by the roots.
Angry? I’m pre postal, and by the way, I take care of myself and am quite healthy for my age. Why should I have to pay for every parasitic slouch;s exhorbitant hc costs because they don’t take care of themselves.
Obesity=diabetes=heart problems=knee replacements=hip replacements=etc, etc.
Drug addiction=liver transplant=etc, etc.
And also, the illegal aliens who take their kids to my ER for runny noses. I”M NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANY MORE. :-)
I am Beckel free: won’t watch the fat slob anymore.
But what did he say? :-)
Angry? They haven’t seen us angry.
I’m angry that our president chooses to spend July 4th
in Paris smoozing it up with euroexpat liberals, when
he could have gone to Afghanistan with 10 tons of hot
dogs and beer for the troops. Maybe he could have fired
a few hundred rounds from a Madeuce at an effigy of
I’manutjob and gotten his eagle on.
I WILL be involved this year in a very active way.
Somehow this is starting to smell like the weekend after 2000 election, but worse!
Not to add insult to injury, but um, it is being orchestrated by an anti-American, closet jihadist, masquerading as a marxist, terrorizing our lives and constitution. We are like deer caught in a headlight.
It's time to go all in - when donating to and voting for the US Senate, US House, Governor, state legislature, and even local offices, even the presidential election for those in swing states who can stomach our nominee. We need every conservative registered to vote, and we need every conservative at the polls. We are facing the end of the free world as we know it, and only a massive turnout for freedom can stop this. We need to make sure that, outside San Francisco, DC, and Massachusetts, no democrat and no liberal can even win office as dog catcher.
Righteous anger will last not just until the election but until ObamaCare is repealed and the federal government is cut down to size.
Absent untimely death or disability, Mitt Romney or Barack Obama will be elected President in November. It sucks, but it's reality.
I went to town today, mentioned this a couple places, most everyone within ear shot wasn’t pleased. Mrcoldone said he will vote this time. He hasn’t in years.
Make sure it’s an effigy of a white Obama we want them
to know there’s nothing racial about it, we’d want him
out no matter who he was.
That would be true. I must admit to being more furious about this than I have ever been with government. This isn’t just about death care. It is the fact that the feds power to tax us into out right open slavery has been increased.
The door is wide open and I believe if we do not get this under control the government will eventually use open force against their slaves.
I would have never imagined the SCOTUS taking this line of defense for death care. LOCK and LOAD.
My personal theory is they are not idiots, they just think we are. They have a rude awakening coming up. Hopefully not too soon.
All I gotta say is where were these angry people in 2008, when their votes would have made a difference? We couldn’t get them to vote in the primary, and then we couldn’t get them to vote in the election. We may have the same thing this time around.
I only regret that I have but one vote to give for my country.
I’m going to vote my conscience and do everything I can to get the down ballot candidates elected. I will hold my nose for RomneyCare.
Scott, you’ve no idea, I mean, you just cannot even fathom.
But it really doesn’t even matter.
Electing Romney doesn’t matter, replealing ObamaTax doesn’t matter, the precedent has been set.
Law was written by Chief Traitor John Roberts, and it cannot be overturned by any civil means at all.
The federal government can now compel behavior via taxation, and there isn’t a damn thing that can be done about it.
America is dead.
Third-party voters will “teach the GOP a lesson.”
The supreme court is supposed to uphold the Constitution which does not list control of healthcare anywhere in the enumerated powers of the Federal Government. The Supreme Court is supposed to protect us from the tyrrany of the majority, but they have delivered us into the hands of yhe lying tyrants.
Damn I wish i was as perfect as you.
I did not vote for Romney in the Florida Primaries. But the bottom line in my book, Mitt Romney won fair and square the GOP nomination. Is he has conservative as I would like? No.
At this point any warm body is better than Obama. Its going to be Mitt vs Barack and if you vote for a 3rd person or do a write in, you are really just giving a vote for Obama.
Rassmussen is correct, I am over the top livid over the Supreme Court decision. The only minor sign of a silver lininng is the fact we can now at least call ObamaCare what it really is OBAMATAX.
I would craw over a mile on broken glass in 100 degree heat to get to the polls in November. I cannot wait to vote. I am dying to do my part to get this joker out of the White House.
Did you know--- Regarding Obama Care --- this "TAX" has a provision requiring all persons have a chip implanted to make it possible to access all your medical records and history for the supposed purpose of "Health Care." Here's the RFID in Obama care:
Page 1014, line 8 through page 1017
It is bad enough that we have been ScaMMed by this administration and their Health Care TAX. Now we will be ScaNNed!
So I take you’ve dusted off the fife and drum and loaded your musket?
"Ideas have consequences!" Weaver
The "idea" of "redistribution" by imperfect persons in government relies on an assumption which is flawed, which has never been proven to work in any society where it has been implemented, and makes all but the political elites dependent slaves to their "masters" in government.
America's Constitution, on the other hand, relies on the idea of Creator-endowed individual life, rights, liberty and laws to protect them. It puts individuals, who make up the "We, the People" of the Constitution's Preamble, in charge of those imperfect people elected to positions of power in government, giving them only limited opportunity to exert power over "the People."
Now, why can't those super-intelligent "progressives" understand that? (Sarc) Oh, by the time they've had their brief stint in power on this earth, they don't really care about the freedom of their own posterity? Say it isn't so!!
If I got within 10 feet of Roberts I’d spit right in his stupid moon face.
Get as many conservatives in the House and Senate and we can begin to turn the ship around, but it will take some time after all the damage 0bama has done.
"These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed, if so celestial an article as Freedom should not be highly rated."
Godspeed, my friend.
Your response has nothing to do with what you said in the post to which I responded. I was impressed that you boiled down what we conservatives ought to do to...Vote for Romney.
Somebody hasn't been paying attention.
The angry people were on the Dem side in 2008.
Our side was demoralized with McCain vowing to run a ‘clean’ campaign, refusing to attack Obama.
In 2010 folks showed up. Here’s hopinng for more this time around.
SoetoroCare is already costing me a lot of money. Why shouldn’t I be pissed?
>> a temporary response
There’s nothing temporary about raping Liberty.
—Third-party voters will teach the GOP a lesson.-—
I’ve been trying to teach the GOP a lesson for the last 30 years. This time I wanna try teaching the democrats a lesson.
I think the insane Tom Lantos said it best:
At least Admiral Boorda had the decency to commit suicide,
You are deluded.
What Roberts said about the commerce clause has no bearing on it whatsoever. It was meaningless babble and it set no case law whatsoever.
It doesn’t matter at all if people are happy or unhappy, they are slaves of the us federal government from this point on.
It doesn’t matter how hard anyone works to get rid of Obama, or if he is even gotten rid of, because you can’t get rid of the precedent that Roberts did set, and that is that it is constitutional for the government to compel behavior or non behavior via taxation.
There is NO WAY to get rid of that now.
And considering that, why would any future congress vote to remove Obamacare? They can do whatever the Hell they want, anytime they want, and there isn’t a damn thing any of us slaves can do about it. The federal government doesn’t ever vote to remove any portion of power from itself, nor can the unlimited power granted to it by Roberts be removed, so the result is-
WE ARE DONE.
About the only thing we can do now is boat over to Antartica and make a new country there and try not to wreck it with our stupidity next time.
We must dump romney at the convention!! We need the tea Party to rally!!! DUMP ROMNEY!!!
..A LOT OF "INDIES" (independents) went along with the BS line the lib media fed them....instead of listening to Jessie Jackson's whisper.....political correctness added to it....and of course, the co-conspirator Pelosi's expert vetting process
Come up with a plan that might work and scores of FReepers and many thousands of others will be with you.
Agree with your post #43.
Conservative = loving those old fashioned documents like the constitution. We kind of get why it was needed. We want freedom and we are smart enough to see idiots peeling it away from us.
