People are figuring out that the white house isn’t all that important if you get a house and senate with the courage to do the right thing.

... unless, of course, re-elected President Obama acts as A. Hitler did and simply closes down the legislative branch.

I realize that sounds somewhat nutty, but he has already done things which were extra-constitutional and no one in either house of the Congress said a word. Why should we not expect him to complete his dictatorial take-over if he is re-elected?

Hitler had a largely complicit legislature and was himself only elected to a minor office and gained more power through parliamentary manipulations.

Precisely. Obama may have been elected to a higher office than Hitler had been, but he has certainly "gained more power through parliamentary manipulations."

I just don't know how a new House and Senate will stop him if those newly-elected people aren't willing to step forward and LEAD, and/or if we-the-people aren't willing to put everything on the line to save our republic.

IMO, this is a really scary and critical time for the future existence of the USA as we used to know it.

Depending on which state you live in, the individual choice between Romney and 0bama may be real, but the individual choice is swamped. if you live in NY or CA, vote for whoever you want, 0bama is taking those Electoral College votes.
