An alleged murderer may escape the death penalty because of where he grew up.

The lawyer for Manuel De Jesus Rosales, accused of slitting the throat of his baby grandson and attempting to stab his daughter to death, planned to file a motion to bar the use of the death penalty.

The attorney claimed it would be too dangerous to travel to his client’s native Honduras to gather information about his past.

Mr. McLoughlin, your first duty is to your client, not to yourself. Not wanting to get shot is simply not an excuse.

Why should he have to go to Honduras?

All pertinent info should be in his citizenship papers.

Florida is the fourth highest execution state in the US (after TX, VA, and OK). Unless he gets a liberal fruitcake state judge, or more likely a busybody federal judge, he will join the line at the end of the death row queue.

Wow.
This guy is a Honduran Josef Fritzl, minus the rape-basement. As was said on another forum, his Family Tree is like Kudzu.

He won’t escape a death penalty in jail. He will more than likely get his throat slit just for grins!

Florida. I’ll bet this guy has no passport—couldn’t travel by plane anywhere.

His past previous to slaughtering his grandson really isn’t relevant.

The only questions are: did he do it? Does his crime shock the sensibilities of normal people? Is he likely to kill again even in prison?

Check. Check. Check. Case closed.

Prosecutors claim he slit three-month-old Josue Rosales’ throat in front of the infant’s mother, Karminda Rosales Salazar, Rosales’ daughter.

Salazar’s elder son, a toddler named Brian Rosales, reported by news-press.com as having been fathered by Rosales, was not injured during the attack.

Looks like his daughter was “unfaithful” to him, and got pregnant by another man.

Fry, Baby; FRY!
