If it was about anything else before, it is about Obamacare now. We have seen what happens in an election centered around Obamacare. It is not pretty for Dems. If SCOTUS had struck it down today, it would have defanged this issue, and de-energized some of the GOP and Independents who united against this in 2009-2010. Some Independents who have been uncomfortable with being associated with GOP candidates are re-energized and re-united over this issue. What will be fascinating is seeing his whole party run away from him on this issue. We may pick up another 30 seats in the House and 8 Senate seats.
No election was won today. Let’s get serious and do what we have to do to repeal this and get Obami out.
Mittens is running around saying “ Repeal and Replace”......replace with WHAT? As far as I am concerned, Mittens is not much better than Obummer!
It will energize the left. They were pretty demoralized before, but now they are not anymore. They can brag that the law was constitutional because the USSC said so.
It will energize the right as well. They were against it and had hopes on USSC, but that hope is dashed. It is now seen as judicial activism and out of control socialism at the highest power in the government.
The real issue is whether it will cause the moderates to move to the left or the right. I really doubt this will affect the moderates, as they are spineless anyway.
Officially, Mitt views Romneycare as Dr. Jekyll and Obamacare as Mr. Hyde.
Frankly, Mitt has a good reason to want Romneycare to stay in Massachusetts or only be opted for by a “few” states. More will kill the golden goose of American health care that Massachusetts depends upon to be able to deliver a semblance of competent health care under the Romney plan.
And we can counter that SCOTUS has declared Obama a liar. He said it is not a tax, SCOTUS says it is a tax - thus Obama is a liar.
Not so much now.

This proves to be such an unsettling time in America as we undergo the fundamental transformation that Barack Obama promised he would do to us if elected. Obamacare was dealt in deception and confusion by flooding the public with an overwhelming amount of conflicting “rationale” via thousands of pages of unread legislative detail, which is the radical left’s M.O. Obama promised the American people this wasn’t a tax and that he’d never raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000. We now see that this is the largest tax increase in history. It will slam every business owner and every one of the 50% of Americans who currently pay their taxes. The other 50% are being deceived if they think they’re going to get a free ride – because Medicaid is broke. Recipients of Obama’s “free health care” will have fewer choices and less accessibility. Trust me – this much more expensive health care WILL be rationed; to claim otherwise defies all economic and common sense.
We will not retreat on this. A newly elected legislative branch is key to defending our Republic and fundamentally restoring all that is good in America.
SCOTUS now rules this is a tax? Well, Congress has the ability to create taxes – and also has the ability to rescind them. Upon their return from the July recess, Congress should act immediately to repeal this terrible new tax on the American people, and indeed they must repeal all of Obamacare. This is the most brazen and sweeping new tax and government overreach imposed on us. We the People did not ask for this tax, we do not want this tax, and we can’t afford this tax. This is not an answer to America’s health care challenges. It’s time, again, for patriotic Americans to rise up to protest this obvious infringement on our economic and personal freedom. November is just around the corner. Today, the Supreme Court issued their ruling on Obamacare. In November, We the People will issue ours.

I have been calling fellow Freepers lunatics but now I am wondering if this Ahole will create some synthetic reason for instituting Marshall Law
I personally know two people who right now think that Obama has given them even more “benefits” for healthcare than they had before.
That’s this year they think they are receiving these bene’s.
They are no longer paying for medicines they once did and get more services(can’t recall what it was).
Who will the takers vote for?
I can tell you they will vote out of fear that they will lose everything they think Obama has promised them.
That’s nearly 1/2 of America.
Romney's VP choice will be telling.
I had a fear that Obama would continue to self destruct and Romney would be getting the anti-Obma vote. But there would not be a lot of enthusiasm for Mitt. If the mandate was struck down, there would be more energized base on the left in the fall. Result, Mitt would likely win but not by large numbers. In other words, Romney would win but barely due to a lack of energy.
NOW, with this decision, the right’s base is going to be very, very energized in the fall. A huge landslide for Romney is very possible now. It has been said that Romney needs to be pushed to the right. Well, we MUST elect a republican and conservative House and Senate to push Mitt to the right. It is going to be very hard for the left to support the highest tax increase in world history. That is perhaps the only silver lining to an awful day.
