The congressional contempt vote against Attorney General Eric Holder is looking more and more like a fait accompli, as House Speaker John Boehner presses ahead with a Thursday floor vote and conservative Democrats one-by-one announce they will side with Republicans.

At least four Democrats so far have said they plan to vote to hold Holder in contempt over his refusal to turn over Operation Fast and Furious documents. Sources told Fox News that roughly 20 are likely to break ranks.

I think it’s bigger than Watergate, as well, xzins.

I’m still waiting for some explanation on how this was supposed to work without crimes (murder) being committed with the walked guns. There is no other way to re”find” the walked guns.

Your video link is ***STUNNING***!

The very fact that the administration would let it be known that they had a gun tracing program in place and were actively pursuing the tracing of weapons crossing the border is a red flag to the fact that they were IN LEAGUE with the cartels who obviously agreed to leave those weapons at their crime scenes so they could be traced.

Dollar to doughnuts the protected memos will establish there was cooperation by the cartels in this project and the cherry on top will be what was offered to the cartels for playing the game.

Explanation for no crimes:

There is none. They didn’t track the weapons, so they had no real intent of it being a sting operation.

Go to this updated article of mine if you have time. I’d appreciate your feedback:

it tells you all the polls about how well Obama is doing are pure bullsh!t.

It's my guess that 0bama's own internals show he's going to be Carterized in November, so they're all just throwing sh*t to the wind -- and all his campaign trips are to fatten the DNC's coffers on his way out.

We ain't seen nuffin yet.

I think before they release the other 71,200 documents they will have a marshmallow roast out on the White House Lawn and report that all documents they have have been turned over to the committee.

If 20 Dems vote with Republicans, then that is saying this is as big as Watergate.

Personally, I think it’s bigger.

Richard Nixon did not knowingly arm enemies of a neighboring state, Mexico, who murdered 200+ Mexican citizens and attacked the Mexican government....all WITHOUT the knowledge of the Mexican government.

Anyone associated with this are accomplices to murder. Period.

Agreed. This doesn't even begin to compare with Watergate.

Supposedly they had 31 dimbulbs going along with them, but I had no doubt that the names of those who were leaning against Holder were ringing off the walls with threats from The Party.

I hope that this POS Holder burns in political and legal HELL for ETERNITY. Not only for his treasonous actions against Americans during his tenure as Atty General, but also to that gut-wrenching episode over a decade ago that he actively crafted to send a little boy to holy hell...

"Agreed. This doesn't even begin to compare with Watergate."

And to think that this and a whole lot more would not have happened if "Obama" hadn't been allowed to usurp the Executive.

I'll say it again: If "Obama" knows he's illegally Occupying office, and knows that the people in positions to do anything about it also know and yet do nothing, it shouldn't surprise anyone that he acts as if he has Carte Blanche to do any lawless thing he desires, because he is, and does. For now.

Many Democrats that vote to protect Holder and Obama will lose their seats protecting these two murderers of American law enforcers and Mexican citizens. IMHO, Both Obama and Holder are traitors and criminals to boot!!! Both men should be thrown out of office and jailed!!!

The NRA is keeping score on the vote.

Pressure on House Dems as NRA to score Holder contempt vote

Just wondering, exactly what usually or can happens when one is held in contempt of Congress? Can the Speaker have him locked up?

What I've read briefly is the person in contempt can be imprisoned up to 1 year and a fine of up to $100,000 can be levied. There's been no penalty levied for contempt of congress since 1934 when Commerce Secretary William McCracken was send to "prison" ... at a hotel.

The best thing that could come out of this would be for Holder to flip on Obama and decide not to take the fall.

Yes.

I think Obama and Holder might hold Mutually Assured Destruction cards on each other. Neither can accuse the other for fear of the avalanche coming back the other way. Both know where too many bodies are buried, and who shanked them. I think they will ride the ship down, or even try to blow it up if it looks like they are heading for impeachment. Do something totally crazy, to enact emergency law, something really, really crazy. Neither will “go quietly.” If they can’t transform the USA into a socialist utopia, they will try to blow it up as the next best thing to do for the good of the world. Slay the great satan, at least. Burn Baby Burn. Bring it all down.
