Becca Glover Watkins, spokeswoman for Chairman Darrell Issa on the House Oversight Committee
said on Twitter that this article is a "fantasy."
This is a long article and will be used by opponents to turn the Fast and Furious investigation in to a partisan fight. Read the article to learn what you are up against so you will be able to respond appropriately when needed.

No federal statute outlaws firearms trafficking From the third paragraph - I'm sure there are other lies before that one, but that's the one I know for sure is blatant.
Look up ITAR. Also known as Export Control, it explicitly forbids you from sending weapons outside the country.

The MSM is now locked in a furious attempt to explain why they have completely ignored this incredible story for almost two years now. The sitting AG is about to be held in contempt by a BIPARTISAN vote of the House tomorrow(!) and anybody who only gets their news from DNC/CNN/ABC/NBC/MSNBDNC/WAPO/NYT will be saying ... HUH!? What is Fast & Furious?!
And the fantasy being concocted by the desperate MSM will be laughable in the face of ... Issa: 31 Democrats Will Vote To Condemn Holder

THE REAL TRUTH about F+F:
Some undercover DEA agents in one cartel got in a battle with some undercover FBI agents in another cartel using guns that ATF agents forced gunshops owners to sell to undercover CIA agents who were gun mules, and Agent Terrys unit got caught in the crossfire.
The Sinola Cartel is coming out the ‘big winner’, and Obama and Calderon have promised the ‘winner’ rights to all smuggling through ARIZONA. (that is why the FEDS are all over AZ and the immigration laws).
Smuggling will drop along other areas of the border (Texas, for example) and Obama and Calderon will declare they have CLOSED the border.

An article purposely written with many an anecdotal aside to draw the reader to confidence in the author.
Very cleverly written. Points for that even though I believe it total BS.

Here is my theory on why Obama issued his order severing ties with Arizona after the Immigration ruling from SCOTUS:
I wonder if Obama won't help Arizona because he's afraid that Fast And Furious guns will eventually be found combing back across the border with an illegal alien. It's just a matter of time.
He doesn't want to step up illegal immigration enforcement because if they find a gun, everything would begin to unravel. He's using immigration as an excuse to look the other way on everything else.

This article is an attempt to further the cause of Fast and Furious, which is gun control. It drips with disdain for the right of Americans to purchase firearms without interference and registration from the Fed. ...Several things beg an explanation. If Feds observed straw purchases from American citizens who passed an instant check, why didn’t a flag go up to prevent those same people from making future straw purchases? The Fed must have had a plan or scheme going on that allowed the practice to continue. Since the Fed knew about these straw purchases, and knew they were going into Mexico, why weren’t Mexican officials notified? This entire article stinks of ass covering. Of course the real solution to this problem isn’t more gun control in the US, but more border control, and we know Obama, Holder, and the entire criminal regime running this country want nothing to do protecting our border from invaders.

You have to be real suspicious when an article purports to have the truth on the Gunwalkergate Scandal.
And doubly suspicious when they use the word intentionally in the subhead.

Let's remember
where, when, and who started all of this.
Let us ALL remember, Over a barrel? Meet White House gun policy adviser Steve Croley
By Jason Horowitz,
(excerpt) ... On March 30, the 30th anniversary of the assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan, Jim Brady, who sustained a debilitating head wound in the attack,
and his wife, Sarah, came to Capitol Hill to push for a ban on the controversial large magazines.
Brady, for whom the law requiring background checks on handgun purchasers is named, then met with White House press secretary Jay Carney.
During the meeting, President Obama dropped in and, according to Sarah Brady, brought up the issue of gun control, to fill us in that it was very much on his agenda, she said.
I just want you to know that we are working on it, Brady recalled the president telling them.
We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.
In the meeting, she said, Obama discussed how records get into the system and what can be done about firearms retailers.
Her husband specifically brought up the proposed ban on large magazine clips,
and she noted that even former vice president Dick Cheney had suggested that some restrictions on the clips might make sense.
He just laughed, Sarah Brady said approvingly of the president.
Both she and her husband, she emphasized, had absolute confidence that the president was committed to regulation.
In simpler, pre-administration times, so was the presidents point man.
In Croleys book, he argued that for all the healthy skepticism, in a complex world, regulation still amounted to the least-worst solution to pressing social problems.
Only the
ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT IN CHIF would arm U.S. Border Patrol Agent
Brian Terry with
less than lethal beanbag rounds.Read
Did flawed US policies play role in death of a border patrol agent? The Dec. 14 shootout in Peck Canyon, near Nogales, Ariz., occurred after border patrol agents halted a group of armed border bandits and fired at them with bean bag guns.
The bandits then opened fire with live bullets from AK-47 submachine guns, killing Mr. Terry.
Critics of US border patrol procedures, including Terry's family, say thatTerry, a former Marine, was operating under specific Department of Homeland Security (DHS) orders that required agents encountering suspected illegal immigrants on US soil to fire nonlethal bean bags before using live ammunition.

Fast and Furious:
Barack Obama's Bloodiest Scandal and Its Shameless Cover-Up
by Katie Pavlich and Emily Durante
Overview
Two hundred and rising. That's the death tally for the Obama administration's "Operation Fast & Furious."
The program was supposedly designed to "win the drug war" by deliberately walking more than two thousand guns across the border to Mexico.
But instead of catching drug lords, "Operation Fast & Furious."Despite the protests of gun store owners and ATF whistle-blowers,
federal agents deliberately violated federal law -and common sense-
and wound up placing American weapons into the hands of Mexico's most violent criminals.
And when the guns started showing up at crime scenes-including the murder scene of a U.S. border patrol agent
-the cover-up began.
So reveals Townhall editor Katie Pavlich in her news-breaking exposé Fast and Furious: Barack Obama's Bloodiest Scandal.
While the White House has claimed ignorance of the program, Pavlich debunks their lies, denials and excuses
by demonstrating incontestable proofthat President Obama and Attorney General Holder did willfully and knowingly sanction the program in order to advance their anti-second amendment agenda.
A horrifying look at one of the bloodiest scandals in the history of the American presidency, Fast and Furious is this season's sensational, must-listen book that will rock America-and the Obama administration-to its core.

“... A spokesman for the House Oversight Committee sends along this response to the story:
Fortunes story is a fantasy made up almost entirely from the accounts of individuals involved in the reckless tactics that took place in Operation Fast and Furious. It contains factual errors including the false statement that Chairman Issa has called for Attorney General Holders resignation and multiple distortions. It also hides critical information from readers including a report in the Wall Street Journal indicating that its primary sources may be facing criminal charges. Congressional staff gave Fortune Magazine numerous examples of false statements made by the storys primary source and the magazine did not dispute this information. It did not, however, explain this material to its readers. The one point of agreement the Committee has with this story is its emphasis on the role Justice Department prosecutors, not just ATF agents, played in guns being transferred to drug cartels in Mexico. The allegations made in the story have been examined and rejected by congressional Republicans, Democrats, and the Justice Department.”

If they broke it into chapters, added a few dozen unnecessary side plots (lunch menus, description of the drive from Scottsdale to Paradise Valley prison to interview suspects, etc.):
And, if they made lead case agent, Hope MacAllister, 41,... tough, squared-away Phoenix veteran...
an uber hot late twenties blond to provide a romantic interest for Dave Voth, 39...Strapping and sandy-haired, the former Marine (and) outstanding law-enforcement employee of the year (and) the "hardest working federal agent I've come across...
Whoever penned this opus would have a decent novel, pure fantasy, but salable.
