Kipling’s “Et dona ferentes” is also apposite to this thread.
Anglo-Saxon countries will take a certain level of crap, but when a critical level is reached all hell breaks loose.
And, of course, “The Wrath Of The Awakened Saxon”:
It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.
They were not easily moved,
They were icy — willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.
Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.
It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.
It was not suddently bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.
We are not ‘stumbling’ into anything. We are being herded like cattle, prodded and whipped into chaos and confusion. This is deliberate and calculated to end the US as we knew it. The damage is already uncalculable. What’s more, We the People are complicit in our own demise.
That last stanza is beautiful, prophetic, and will be fulfilled.
Yes. No doubt.
But there is something cyclical in this engineered destruction; it always somehow collapses itself and the opposing side takes over.
Howe and Strauss in “The Fourth Turning” were predicting this apex and reversal 15 years ago, with uncanny accuracy as to details and events we have witnessed since 2008.
From a blog which follows this theory:
“Now deeply into the 00-20 winter period, we see that the wealth generated in the 80s and 90s was not so much organic as manufactured — largely on a false foundation of debt. Already twice this “season,” this shaky foundation has collapsed and is now only supported by blatant sham activities of the federal government.
To quote Alexander Hamilton, who designed almost singlehandedly the governmental/financial system the U.S. has used for over 200 years:
“Mark my words. So long as we are a young and virtuous people, this instrument [the Constitution] shall bind us together in mutual interests, mutual welfare, and mutual happiness. But when we become old and corrupt, it will bind us no longer.”
How prophetic Hamilton’s words were, how much they foretold our present era!
“Our manufacturing sector produced $1.855 Trillion in 2010 with 12.5 million workers. The number of manufacturing workers keeps decreasing while the output keeps increasing. We are able to produce more with less workers.”
Yes, but...
Some time ago, I read that the US would not be capable of producing enough boots and shoes for a WWII sized army - which is another one of the reasons that the next war will have to be very short and pushbutton high tech.
Did you read Kipling's story of the Saxon?
Oh My, one post below, and there it was. LOL
It will, and I am Sofa King not looking forward to it.
Looking forward to “it” being done (if I life that long), but not looking forward to “it”.
They haven't forgot, they know it won't really matter. These stupid stories like, Terminator where a single shotgun hold off an entire mechanized military operated by robots is just stupid.
Besides that what makes you think all those gun owners would be thinking like you or I do?
You have exactly the choice you are supposed to have.Think that one through.
Been thinking it through. Anybody who thinks we have a “free press” is wrong. You get better news on the US from the BBC than you do from ABCNBCCBSFOX. And their volume drowns out any real news.
Might add Canada Free Press to your list they are a very good online news source.
