If its already happened, then he can’t do it again. Romney won’t reverse any of it. In fact, he will advance the progressive ball more than Obama could.

If there, really, was a way to, seriously and successfully, elect enough true and decent conservatives to the House and to the Senate to the point where a RINO President Romney would be forced to the far right, politically, on all of the issues, then voting for Mitt Romney wouldn’t be as harmful to the U.S. as it will be. The next few years are going to be very bad years with, either, Barack Obama, or Mitt Romney as POTUS, and not having enough true conservatives in the next House and in the next Senate will, also, prevent all of the much needed legislative solutions to today’s ongoing problems from being, successfully, resolved.

“You are going to sh!! a brick when Romney is elected. Fools like you don’t know how sad and immature you are.”
1. No one here is going to be upset if Romney wins. SOME OF US just don’t want to actively participate in moving this country to the left. GET IT?
2. So now you’re resorting to insults? Have you run out of interesting, worthwhile things to say?

“...Conservatives are now the minority in the gop membership.”
BINGO. We’ve been marginalized the same way blacks have been marginalized in the Democratic Party. We’re nothing more than a bunch of gay-bashing, Bible-thumping hayseed hicks with guns who are guaranteed to gobble down whatever table scraps the leadership throws at us.

And your summation indicates you feel the political philosophies of Sarah Palin, Dick Cheney, Herman Cain, Rick Perry, and Michelle Bachman are wrong.
It was YOUR tagline. You appear to be blinded to realizing that some FReepers can see that you are trying cleverly to twist the facts to something false, also as indicated by your insincere, snarky response to me. It still calls your individual posts' sincerity into question and begs closer scrutiny. That's what I appreciated about your tagline: it alerts posters what to expect from you.
I stand by my previous assessment of your tagline. Even more so now.

Once prominently on my political radar scope, Palin has demurred once to often, spoken a little too indecisively, and, frankly, a little too coyishly for me to take anything she says seriously anymore.
I really don't care who she endorses - really don't. I see headlines or snippets or accounts of something or another she is supposed to have said, done or thought, but it's all just buzzing to me - no action, nothing important.

It is sad to see good conservatives such as you, living in fear, being manipulated by the politicians and their old worn-out ABO strategery.
But, I guess it works every time on the rubes.

That is ok... their days are numbered because they cannot win elections without us and every day... with each passing progressive revelation of who romney and the gop/e truly are... the truth becomes clear to more and more Conservatives. This may be the gop’s last election in the current makeup of the party. 2013 many of us start working on a solution... one way or the other. IF romney wins... and that grows more unlikely every day... he will feel the burn of Conservative anger when he pushes his progressive agenda... and fewer and fewer incumbents will return to DC. That is the only way we will ever get control of the gop and actually save America.

They have to have a chance.
Everyone who is put forward has to face the knives of those who do not consider them conservative enough.
There is no understanding of where the actual voters really stand. The point is to attract enough support to actually WIN elections.

Everyone who is put forward has to face the knives of those who do not consider them conservative enough.
But that isn't exactly what has happened this primary season. Conservatives on FR didn't whittle down the presumed-conservative candidates in order to arrive at Romney; well, I didn't anyway. The conservatives were easy targets for the R operatives to whittle away. The Romney operatives, pertaining to just FR, did the whittling using different tactics which generated confusion, division, and induced personal misunderstandings among FReepers on many FR threads over the course of time. Innuendo and bullying are what these particular R operatives do best and they're very good at it.
We thought we had a good conservative candidate ahead of the primaries but that candidate did not seek the nomination. Next time, conservatives MUST have a preferred candidate in mind, one who will run for sure, way before the primary season begins.
