SANFORD, Fla. (AP) — Saying he's lost the trust of officials, a city manager fired a central Florida police chief who was criticized for his agency's initial investigation of Trayvon Martin's shooting death at the hands of a neighborhood watch volunteer.
Sanford City Manager Norton Bonaparte said in a Wednesday statement that he relieved Chief Bill Lee of duty because he "determined the Police Chief needs to have the trust and respect of the elected officials and the confidence of the entire community."
"We need to move forward with a police chief that all the citizens of Sanford can support," Bonaparte said. "I have come to this decision in light of the escalating divisiveness that has taken hold of the city."
The initial lack of an arrest following the death of Martin, an unarmed black teenager, by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in February led to protests across the nation and spurred a debate about race and the laws of self-defense. Zimmerman's father is white and his mother is from Peru.......

I don’t think it’s a bone-headed decision... it’s a decision aimed at radicalizing the criminal justice system and making it serve the needs of the Socialist Agenda, just like the Zimmermann prosecution itself.
In both cases, it’s not stupidity that’s the driving force, it’s pure power politics, with extremely evil motives. And the driving force is coming straight from the WH.
I have a feeling that the non-black citizens of Sanford will make their feelings known in the next election.

Since Bonaparte doesn't have the respect and confidence of the entire community either, will he fire himself. Bonaparte has said for months that he would not fire Lee unless civil rights violations were found in how the department handled the Martin investigation. Well -- none were found -- so he lied.
The real truth is that there was an NAACP forum in Sanford last week during which Trayvon Martin's parents appealed to a crowd of about 100 people to press for Lee’s firing and an investigation into the Sanford Police Department. 100 people, out of a city of 55,000, most of whom probably didn't live in Sanford, but were transported in that morning, and the Haitian born city manager bows to their wishes.
The Trayvonistas now run the city of Sanford.
Back when Obama was elected, some said he would set back race relations by decades. My prediction was that he would set it back 100 years. I’m increasingly thinking I was right.

I'm betting Lee has already retained counsel who have probaly advised him to sit tight until after the trial and if it goes as expected (or should based upon what we know to date) and all the facts come out, then will be the time to file a (what I hope) is a multi-million $ action against this moron and the city.

So after a trial when it is finally unavoidable to realize that Trayvon was a punk ass criminal who was killed during an assault on a citizen and the initial police investigation was proper and done completely right will this asshat politician apologize and give this man his job back??

If Trayvon was fearful that night, why didn't he call 911??? and if his girlfriend was fearful for him as she claims, why didn't she call 911 for him??? Someone who has already called 911 and knows the police are on the way is not going to instigate a fight.
The Trayvon parents, undoubtedly under the coaching of their slime-ball attorney, publicly call for the firing of the police chief. Why?
To taint any jury during trial. It MUST look like the cops bungled the investigation and failed to gather any forensic evidence in the immediate aftermath of the shooting. Therefore, there was lots of goods to be heaped on Mr. Z. but the "incompetent" police force under the now-fired chief failed to implicate Z in the follow-up. So the chief has to go.
Then, in Step Two, the napoleonic Mayor, marching in lockstep with the parents and their slime-ball attorney plus Obama and the ever-lurking Rev-runds Jackson and Sharpton, fires the police chief. This sets up a trial scenario like the OJ case where LA detectives and other investigators, law enforcement principals and laboratory employees became the perps and Simpson became the victim during the full course of the trial.
The now-fired Sanford police chief, Bill Lee, will become the Mark Fuhrman of the Zimmerman trial....you can bet on it. And since he was fired, his resume and testimony will look much less sterling and believable to a jury.
This firing demonstrates that Mr. Zimmerman's stalkers are devious, evil.....and thinking and acting incrementally with a plan in hand.

Go back and review the inital threads on the Zimmerman story and look at the members of this forum that were leading the lynch Zimmerman mob. the public officials and politicians see this also and say to themselves, "Why risk my ass?". It iseasier to just go with the flow.
From all I have read I believe Zimmerman was acting in self defense. That has not changed. The pay pal account didn't change my mind, but it could make a juror skeptical and get him convicted.
