My mother, a lifelong Washingtonian, upon first seeing ‘Mo’ Dean's photo exclaimed “She looks like a hotel call girl.” Apparently she was part of the DC demimondaine of moonlighting secretaries and semi-clericals who subsidized their lifestyle on their backs. John Dean was and is a characterless smuck. His is the poster boy for the kind of clueless amoral little weasels that frequently ‘date’ these woman in DC and marry them as all they want is a showy piece of T & A and the girls are no better knowing these turds are their meal tickets to upper middle class respectability. This is just another feculent little piece of the inside-the-Beltway culture that doesn't make it into the popular perception of glamorous high power DC.

In 1962 Nixon ran for governor of California--in the primary he was opposed by a real conservative named Shell. My parents were California voters and supported Shell. I remember my father once calling Nixon a Communist.
Nixon made a show of trying to pick conservatives for the Supreme Court, but two of his four turned out to be liberals. (Two other nominees got rejected in the nomination process.)

If Obama imposed Wage and Price Controls, people would riot and he would be impeached.
And today conservatives glorify Nixon who imposed Wage and Price Controls.
