It would not surprise me if Assange is granted the request. The timing of the case against him is clearly political and he probably does have good reason to fear for his safety. Honestly, though, I don’t think Ecuador will be any safer for him than a Swedish prison.
I hope they cut his wiener off.
I hope they cut his wiener off.
I’d say Julian’s world just got a lot smaller. I wonder why he chose Ecuador.
Assange has been sitting on more than 1,600 emails to and from our embassy in Quito, Ecuador.
His ace in the hole card. Ecuador gives him asylum and residency, Ecuador gets the emails.
Ecuador is perfect for this POS. He won’t last a year.
The trick is to get him out of London.
Ecuador will have to grant him permanent residency and possibly citizenship, then move him on a diplomatic immunity by making him an Ecuadoran diplomat.
Very controversial move to get around international warrants. Ecuador is very, very interested in the US emails as they likely reveal government opposition and intelligence operatives.
Mr. Peace and Love and Open Source Assange will likely cause deaths in Ecuador to save his own skin.
I’d like to see one of those giant spiders out in the jungle capture this guy and take him into his burrow and snack on him for a couple of weeks.
I wonder why he picked Ecuador, since I think they do have an extradition treaty with the UK, so it would only stall the process.
Some Leftist leader in South America had actually offered him asylum because they were fans of his smack at the Great Satan.
I thought it was Evo Morales in Bolivia though.
Ah, he’s seeking asylum from extradition, so I guess the treaty isn’t relevant.
What do you have against giant spiders?
