Responding to Obama’s plan to override Congress in order to grant immunity to young illegals, Rep. Allen West says that we are getting away from representative government and are starting to live under a ‘rule by edict’. He adds that this proposal has more to do with political expediency than finding an appropriate solution to our immigration problem:

That’s how it USED TO BE DONE.
The 14th Amendment, INTENDED by the drafters to ONLY grant citizenship to emancipated slaves by overturning the Dred Scott decision, has been tortured beyond recognition by the radical left to also include so-called “anchor babies” born to Latinas who stroll across the border to download junior HERE to bypass all the normal immigration processes described above. As an intern in a San Diego ER, my late niece caught many of those babies as part of her OB/GYN training.
By executive fiat, today Obama just took the first step to COMPLETELY open our borders (trust me, it is the first step only!) His action makes FOOLS of those who, like our great-great grandparents, played by the rules. It also makes fools of those waiting in those overseas lines to come here THE RIGHT WAY!!!

A Latino “immigration lawyer” on FNN this morning said that if Congress doesn’t like it, they can change the law. He went on to say “THEY DON’T HAVE THE GUTS.” Sadly, he’s right. But if these clowns on Jenkins’ Hill think those latinos (legal and illegal) are going to vote for the GOP, they should be careful to not let their minds wander: They’re too small to be out alone.
Not that it would do any good, I called my congresscritters’ (202-224-3121) this morning to ask when they plan to offer Articles of Impeachment for this, the Law of the Seas Treaty, the activities of Holder, et al, the waste of taxpayer bucks on the green jobs idiocy, etc., etc. I’ll spare you the entire list as it runs to a few hundred pages. If impeachment is not their plan, I asked them to have the decency to RESIGN as the first branch of this government is clearly no longer needed and Obama could use the bucks saved to help buy the coming “election” or perhaps resume his taxpayer funded World Tour.
Bottom line? If you are STILL unconvinced that this guy is a clear and present danger to YOUR way of life, you probably live in a refrigerator crate behind a vacant warehouse. And if that is NOT your current living condition, re-elect this guy and it shortly will be.
I love West but I am sick of words! Do something about Obama or just shut up.

He is President and not a dictator. He cannot really make laws like that. The law now states that the Immigration and Naturalization Service can deport these people. That is what they should be doing.
Amen! We have a lot of very loudmouthed Republicans up on the Hill, but actions speak much louder. I've lit up my Congressional and Senate Rep phones this morning to express my outrage, and I pray the rest of you all do the same.
We are WAY past Congressional committees, findings, etc. This is outright treason and a breach of the Oath of Office, and Obama should be impeached immediately.
From LAT: “Effective immediately, young immigrants who arrived before they turned 16 will be allowed to apply for work permits as long as they have no criminal history and meet a series of other criteria, officials said.”
Seems to me that this is a violation of the separation of powers. Having added specific qualifiers to an already enacted legislation, he is amending that legislation post-fact.
The House should immediately take action, up to and including impeachment if warranted. That said, no House now or in the future will begin impeachment proceedings against any POTUS regardless of party.
Limbaugh is talking about this first thing today and said Obama is desperate for votes. My Democrat neighbors will be livid over this. They were already livid over Obamacare and how Obama sued AZ over illegals. Now this. They told me they will never vote Democrat again.

I had to join up to express my opinion. This is the greatest dictatorial grab of power in our life time. It is contrary to statutory law and contrary to the executive duty to enforce statutory law. This is a high Crime and Misdemeanor . Where is Romney?? What is his position. We know Rubio wanted this for the “establishment” but where is Romney?
