Why is a group of Republicans, led by Senator Marco Rubio, hell-bent on fumbling the football at the goalpost while Democrats are losing on the issue of illegal immigration?
Yet, it is also possible that Senator Rubio will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and introduce some version of the Dream Act.

I think it’s a warning. When these new guys arrive on the scene, they look soooo good. But it doesn’t take them long once they get to Washington to change. So we need to be cautious of EVERYONE.
These elite politicians no longer respect our votes because they never tell us the truth.
Rubio is no different from any of the other bought and paid for politicians in Washington. He just voted to keep subsidizing big Sugar. Real principled conservative.
We are in danger.
Shocking to see how we squirm to justify voting for Hatch, or for Romney, or for a Rubio. These guys are known Establishment, or in Rubio’s case tightly funded, connected, and promoted by Establishment players(Jeb Bush) who are generally repelled by conservatives, and constitutionalists alike.
Such a deal for Rubio probably seals him as the VP pick by the self proclaimed Progressive, Romney. Now, what else would young Rubio be willing to do for those he is fast becoming beholding to.
Jeb and the Romney boys are no Jim DeMints’. Why doesn’t Rubio team up with the DeMint conservative agenda?
They are not after our vote anymore, now that the two parties have melled into one. We have but Jim DeMint in the senate and some new blood in the freshmen in the House. (With no influence, but for the influence they are suffering, under Boehner.)
Where are all those FReepers that a few months back were saying that this handsome young man was a solid conservative and would make a great VP pick? Step up and defend yourselves now, or renounce your mistaken opinions, if you have any integrity.
He never looked very good to me, since I did a few minutes research and discovered he was a career politician who never did an honest day’s work in his adult life. Maybe I’m too cynical, but I don’t trust anyone whose main goal in life seems to always have been to work their way up the political ladder.
Rubio is a citizen of the world and worried about his foreign street cred. He’s also a Jebite. Jeb is representing his Mexican family members who apparently have not figured out this is the US and not Mexico. Daddy Bush is a globalist and wants a North American Union with legal open borders and open citizenship.
Rubio didn’t change when he got to Washington. He already stunk on immigration while he was a Florida legislator.
Some of us have been onto cherubic Rubio, since his sympatico with Jeb Bush has been known from the beginning. That alone should have done it for most that there is going to be a trust issue here, given the Establishment has ruined us, and if anyone is Establishment, it’s Jeb Bush.
Jeb is becoming the godfather of the RINO Party and Rubio is stuck and in debt to him forever—now a tool for the Hispanic vote and much else. The little cherub is now a liberal moderate conservative. Smirk.
Rubio is another Media created Rino pushed on the Conservatives as some kind of Hero,Another Fraud is all I see. Welcome to Hispanic America
So are we to assume that Charlie Crist was maligned on his political stances and he was in fact the best choice? Geez, get a grip!
Who the Hell is talking about Crist? You Need to get a Grip,we are talking about another Rino On the Presidential Ticket who wants to open the Flood Gates To more Illegal Immigrants,ITs not Crist its Rubio Idiot
The choice was between Crist and Rubio, now deal with that and maybe, just maybe, you will think past the end of your nose and realize a strategy to limit any “globalist” desires he may have on blanket amnesty. He is not the only one voting in the Senate and is not the nominee for fiddle player, all be it that the list is long for those Bill Krystal weaklings who are far too willing go along to get along. If you are not a part of a solution, you are just another whiner who perpetuates the problem.
If in fact he is an open borders puke like you say, then hell yes, get him the hell out of the Senate and let’s have a redo. So what and who do you propose to replace him where he actually has a vote in the matter? My choice would be Allen West, who is your political answer man?
Mike Lee, Rand Paul just for starters, come on!
Today Obama picks up the fumbled ball, and runs with it.
&^%$ @#$% *&^% !!!!!!
THE VANITY OF THESE %^%%^ Republicans!
He's looking less like the Great Hope and a lot more like Jeb Bush's butt boy.
The two you mention are quite new. Noisy yes, but without the PAC, punch or the power of DeMint, who is a kingmaker in his own right. Come on.
Up to today, he has only spoken in generalities but by accepting Obama’s illegal move, he has no way to talk this one back. Time to look for a replacement when the time comes. In the mean time, Rep. King has filed suit against Obama. This is the kind of action I was referring to in my last response to you. I have just called his PAC and ended my monthly contribution.
This falls under that old saying in that it takes only one Oh Shiite to erase a whole boatload of attaboys.
