$70 million a year, 10% of the nation's incarcerated illegals. L.A. is a
sanctuary city (actually THE original sanctuary city) to boot, so those figures could/should be much, much higher.
If L.A. County would actually deport these illegals
before they inevitably do something to wind up in jail - rape, molest, murder, drive drunk etc... they could save a lot of money. They look the other way and let these criminals hang around long enough to swell the inmate population, then whine about incarceration costs - boo f'ing hoo.
