Gay people tend to adopt (and may adopt out of foster care), which means that many of these disadvantages may be in place before the kids are ever in the gay household. For example, maybe these kids spent time in foster care before they were adopted by gay couples. Maybe they were abused by their biological parents before being put in foster care.
A better study would compare kids raised by gay couples to adopted kids raised by straigh couples.
I'd rather see Mitt "spin it", after all he's in favor of queer adoptions.
That was my thought as well. The study should try to factor out the adoption aspect, or at least make steps to equalize the number of bio vs adopted children in the study. Otherwise, you have an indictment of any adoption.

I live for the day that the Homo Gene is identified, and with the lib penchant for selective abortions, most if not all infant homosexuals will be aborted.
Then what will the aged remaining homosexuals have to say as they watch homosexuals disappearing from the US, leaving them to be the dinosaurs of the homosexual community?

Sure, you’ll see them flop on the issue, or make confusing statements, but to them, they’re being entirely consistent,
because abortion and homosexuality are simply a means to an end. The traditional family is the target for destruction, and even that’s a proxy attack on God Himself.
Every leftist policy can be shown to be detrimental to the family as an institution, and that’s not a coincidence.
Secular school boards and politicians have signally failed to allow the verifiable dreadful consequences to affect their support of heterosexual promiscuity. One may assume that this is because the elected officials and a significant number of their constituents find traditional sexual morality personally constricting ... so, often literally, screw the children and their well-being.
In my opinion, it is not to be expected that any research showing harmful effects of homosexuality will make any difference in the vigor with which it is promoted by society’s major institutions.
A while back two lesbians starved and beat their male child to death with electrical cords while their female children were well cared for.

Reading the entire article, it is very balanced actually. It indicates that the major problem with same sex child rearing is that it probably entails more instability than a heterosexual family. The author actually says that the study is not an indictment of gay parents. Interesting, but clearly it blows away previous studies that show no effect or a net positive for the child.
That's right. They glamorize it - make it all about Broadway, dancing, singing, flitting about the stage, decorating and fashion. Aren't gay couples cute and funny - ha ha. They totally omit the dark, perverted sexual side of the life style.

When you factor in the parents who WANT their kids to also be homosexual or at least sexually promiscuous as teens, 23% is an incorrect figure. The indoctrination and pressure is in itself abuse.
Then they will import their numbers from foreign countries (like Latin America and the Middle East) where religious tradition makes homosexuals "a persecuted minority". They will be given asylum, refugee status.
