one of/if not the best books on guerrilla warfare ever written.

i have two copies in paperback, one that never leaves the house anymore and the other is a loaner

I like the Savage .22 rifles. They are inexpensive, utilitarian, and pretty tough. I have one and it is decent, a good value. They are made in Canada.

If there’s no prominent exit wound, it’s only fencing.

Poke harder!

marktwain: I just finished reading “Roughing It” by Samuel Clemens again, still as funny as the first time.

Saw the flag on your page, are you in AZ? We are over on the river midway betwixt LHC and BHC, CA sure has nice sunsets, from this side of the river. Been a bit warm over here, like 117 degrees as of late. but what’s new.

Know what you mean, even the Swede brass could be hard to come by back then. I have a almost like new Husky Model-38 6.5x55mm Swede which is sure a sweet shooter. It was made in 1942, but as Sweden was a neutral country in WW2, they maintained a very high standard for production of the rifles. Photobucket Photobucket

At one time I owned six Swedish Mausers. Three were the long model 94/96 and three were the Model 38. All of my model 38s had a threaded barrel with a plastic protector.

All were in nice shape but the three model 38s were like new. One of the long ones was actually made by Mauser and had the Mauser banner. The rest were all Carl Gustav Husquvarna.

I ran out of money while in grad school and was forced to sell nearly all my guns. I did keep one of the long ones which happened to be extremely accurate. At least I still have a good supply of Lapua match and Norma of varying weights including some of the long round nose 156 grain bullets.

Who's gonna buy that for $600 when you can have .308 for less money?

I know this is an old thread but I hope you reply quickly.

What rifle is that and where can I get one?
