Obama (Again) Blames Bush For Bad Job News
IBD Editorials ^ | June 1, 2012 | Editor

Economy: President Obama has been on the job for nearly three and a half years, but the White House says bad news on jobs is George W. Bush's fault. Time to own up to your own record, Mr. President.

It was the most tepid job growth seen in America in a year, with fewer than 70,000 jobs added for May — less than half what economists expected.

On top of that, March and April's combined job growth was revised downward by almost 50,000. The unemployment rate is again going in the wrong direction, from April's 8.1% to 8.2% in May.

In response to the jobs report, the Dow industrials plunged more than 274 points, or 2.2%, the index's worst day of the year and falling into negative territory for 2012.

Welcome to the Obama "recovery."

The White House says this economy isn't really the president's responsibility. Its take on what the Washington Post called a "dismal U.S. jobs report" as "businesses dramatically scaled back hiring," was this from Council of Economic Advisers Chairman Alan Krueger:

"Today we learned that the economy has added private sector jobs for 27 straight months" — as if lukewarm net job growth that's actually slower than the growth in the labor force should be a cause to break out the champagne in the biggest economy in the world.

Instead of blaming its failed trillion-dollar Keynesian stimulus, plus at least another trillion taking over the country's health-insurance system, the White House disgracefully points a finger at its predecessor.

Recession ended in June 2009 according to the White House so therefore the economy since then is Barry/Baracks`.

Barry/Barack even said “ I own it “ and “ If I don’t have this ( the economy fixed ) done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition “

Given that Obama can’t take blame for anything, as everything is Bush’s fault(tm), perhaps we ought to make a bunch of bumper stickers:

Defeat Bush, Vote for Romney

Until Obamacare is killed off.... No small businessman in his right mind is going to hire anyone unless absolutely necessary....

One would think after 30 months of using the wrong ecomonic strategy to create jobs the administration would consider changing course but instead they blame Bush.....

What a bunch of asshats

If Obama is justified in blaming Bush, then Bush could blame Clinton as well for the poor economy he inherited

That’s a concept his brain could never fathom since all he’s ever experienced is the affirmative action model.

0 takes credit when things look good.

He does that whether or not he actually did anything to cause things to look good.

In 1981, Reagan inherited a miserable economy, double digit inflation, double digit interest rates, and the Cold War from Carter.

In 1993, Clinton inherited the tech boom and a growing economy, and the end of the Cold War from Reagan/Bush.

In 2001, Bush 2 inherited the start of a recession and Bin Laden from Clinton.

And in 2007, the Democrat majority Congress, of which Obama was a member, inherited 4.4% unemployment and DOW 14,000 from the GOP majority Congress.

“The dog ate my book-report. Honest...”

This guy is so juvenile, it’s very hard to understand how anyone could avoid the truth of it.

And that is after the government finished manipulating the numbers to put the best spin on them.

I think Obama should take credit for the budgets he voted for as senator.. Gosh, he was for it before he inherited it.

We tend to forget just how much he did to spook business in 3 1/2 years and make people with cash park their money.

Bankers, speculators, business owners, entrepreneurs, manufacturers (other than green subsidized boondoggles) all had something to be leery of to the point of sitting the sidelines.

Healthcare, carbon tax, anti-oil (read: existing transportation infrastructure).

Sure, some property got snapped up, but the people who hire are waiting this freak out.

So if Romney wins, does he blame Bush.
