I firmly believe that future history (assuming we survive long enough as a species) will identify FDR and LBJ as two of the WORST politicians in the life of the USA, in view of the long term effects of their grandiose policies.
This of course also assumes that OBcare eventually is dismantled after he is tossed out of the WH. If THAT doesn’t happen, well then OB joins the other two pathetic monsters ...... well, come to think of it, OB might have already assured himself a place in that company ..... based just on what he HAS accomplished so far.
Please excuse my tardiness: it is the command that Nully told me every body hates so I shouldn’t use it but I thought I should try it since I’m a noob so pretty-please excuse.
P.S. What’s 7734? WhiskeyTangoAyiyiyi is 7734?
Anybody watching the Hatfields and the McCoys? One of my childhood friends was a West Virginian who relocated to Torrance, CA, in the ‘60’s. She and her family were lovely people.
“Blinky” doesn’t work on IE. I have Firefox and I see the word “Blinky” in NNB’s #55 blinking.
Ni and San had a binky, but none of my kids ever had a blinky.
We were a poor immigrant family, fresh in Nacogdoches from the forbidden tarpits of Lufkin, reeking of stale tamales and off-brand diet cola. We couldn't afford to buy the extra 'L' and had to do without.
Who has guacamole? Do I have to fight the zombies to get it?
Actually, I should have written it “7734, upside down and backwards.” It is easier to understand if the 4 is open at the top.
That way you can substitute “H-E-Double toothpicks” OR for the less cryptlogically inclined HE!!. Or, Heck...using the vernacular.
I would most definitely watch it if I could afford the upper channels on the *ptooie* cable company I have. If it is offered on Netflix, I may get it. *sigh* I’m missing so much. Of the “Lower 25 channels” I was promised, I get six, on good days.
I have a never-ending supply of guacamole. (Sayyyy...didn’t I promise you a recipe of the stuff?)
My brems dun fel owt, I fink.
My son didn’t want a binky, but he did have a blankie. He was very upset when “Aunt Weesie took the (rubs fingers together) off it.” Yah, like that!
I vaguely recall a guac conversation, but I’m old so who knows.
I’d love a recipe! I’d like to take something to our annual potluck besides green salad or stuffed eggs.
I had fun at JC Penney yesterday, shopping for the grandbabies. I got them each three outfits, but actually it’s three for Adriana and six for Laurena, since Laurena will get all of Adriana’s clothes next year anyway. ;-)
Ohman...A FR baby I didn’t do something for...my BAD!
I’ll get the recipe off to you ASAP. It is “autentico” as of 50 years ago, and has served me well. Nowadays, folks have to add things that not everyone likes or that likes everyone. I like MY recipe, given to me by a Mexican foster mother. It’s the taste I judge all guacamole by.
Thanks! I’ll try it at the next party I go to.
Print it, then go shopping! LOL!
Saying, "Oh, they weren't so bad ...", is like saying of the White House after the British burned it, that it needed a coat of paint anyway.
Lots of people know how to lead once they get into the Presidency, you tell people what to do and they do it.
The problem as always, is that the skills that propel an individual into that heady stratosphere are normally not the same ones that would help him, or Sarah, to govern in a direction that reverberates with the people, and harnesses their enthusiasm to get the tasks done which must be done, the clearing of the decks, and then getting down to action.
It will be on Netflix eventually. They get all the History Channel’s popular shows.
The Hatfield-McCoy feud is an iconic story - everyone can find a way to relate.
Thanks for the zombie/guacamole notice.
Welcome back, Darks. Saved you some coughee to go with the guacamole.
It’s somewhat good to be back, though I have regrets.
NY is a hectic mess.
I just spent three months in a NON-hectic area.
It’s like landing from Mars.
;-)
Where did you find “Lie to Me?” Looked it up on Hulu and they haven’t acquired the license yet. Looked for it in the DVD section of Wal Mart and zilch.
I know what you mean. I spent my first 36 years in an inner urban area. There’s an upcoming family wedding in DC next year. We’re both champing at the bit to see my husband’s family. Skin crawls re: going to Washington. You need a whole set of specific survival and coping skills.
