Wolfe has 41% with 73% reporting.
#1, The big dollar contributors will look at this, Wisconsin next month, Oprah, Hillary and Barbara Streisand's refusal to campaign for him and other signs and checkbooks will slam shut.
#2, Bill Clinton still hates Obama more than he dislikes any man on earth, and Clinton still has a huge following among mainstream Dems. This will reignite Bill's not-so-quiet mutterings, and those of his friends, which will encourage more donors to not give and other big time Dems to concentrate on local and House races.
This is VERY bad news for Obama.
Because Goode is a minor defeated politician who is a horrible campaigner, and every vote for Goode is an effective vote for Obama.
If you don’t understand that, it’s back to RealPolitics 101 for you.
but a jail bird can come with in 10 points of obama. your logic fails me.
Do you know if there were hotly contested down ticket races that were bringing people out? Or did people actually carve some time out of their schedules, get in the car (at $4/gallon), drive to the polls and wait in line to vote “uncommitted”?
Many counties gave Bobo less than 10% in that primary.
been gone 12 years - memory fades
been gone 12 years - memory fades
been gone 12 years - memory fades
County | "Uncommitted" | "Barack Obama" |
Pike | 2620 / 65.32% | 1391 / 34.68% |
Harlan | 1986 / 73.80% | 705 / 26.20% |
Breathitt | 1289 / 63.62% | 737 / 36.38% |
If he had half a billion dollars like the other two, he probably could.
You are correct, thanks for pointing those examples out, especially as it reinforces my theory that a nominee/sitting president that does poorly in the primaries tends to do poorly in November. Both Bush in 1992 and Dole in 1996 went on to lose badly as the GOP failed to heed the warning signs that even a political columnist could beat their candidates in a primary - but they went ahead and nominated them anyhow.
No, nothing big downticket other than House primaries.
Try this: meaningless primary vs national presidential election. There’s a difference. A vote for Goode will indeed be a vote for Obama, because the “jail bird” voters will not play their games in the big one. They are Democrats and will vote for the Dem.
It's amazing that people delude themselves so fully that they need stuff like this pointed out to them
Interesting that no one on the Democrate side is willing to challenge that criminal... Much like muslims will not challenge Bin Laden.
He is the last Democrate, so to speak. For all their hooplah about morals, Democrates never challenge anything, completely coward and unchallenging even of anything good and bad, all in the name of peace and Kumbaya.
Yeah, right.
A sitting president who cannot get the support of 60% of the voters IN HIS OWN PARTY is not going to set serious funding,
What is there to not understand?
...for those interested. :D
Washington (D)istrict of (C)riminals Establishment Senator Mitch "go along to get along" McConnell
Repeal the 17th Admt. and bring the Senators home and held (rigidly) accountable the 10th Admt.
this IS the states' veto...(read brake)...over National Government overreach
..in a Coal mining region; they know, they have O'Bozo / EPA "Bull-eye's" on their industry.
the vote confirms it, the pro-O'Bozo confirms their overwhelming stupidity..not dumb..stupidity
wonder what would happen if Hitlery ran as an independent
