Gingrich to Georgia GOP: Let's rally around Romney
The Florida Times Union ^ | May 19, 2012 | Errin Haines

Newt Gingrich took the stage at the Georgia Republican Party state convention on Saturday wearing a Mitt Romney sticker, focusing his attacks on President Barack Obama and attempting to energize the crowd around his former Republican rival.

"To every conservative, everywhere in America: When your choice on the one hand is Barack Obama, and your choice on the other hand is Mitt Romney, no serious conservative could possibly believe that electing Barack Obama is acceptable ... for America."

“Sadly, “Sola Veritas” is not the only one openly advocating another 4 years of Obama, as the preferred outcome of the 2012 elections, while claiming to be an “uncompromising conservative”.”

You also have a peculiar penchant for misrepresentation. I am NOT an advocate of Obama. I despise him and his policies. I want to see him shut down. However, I don’t think Romney is the method to do this. A strong conservative congress is. Romney will be NO BETTER. I am both Anti-Obama and Anti-Romney. I see opposing Romney as a plus in my opposition to Obama. We need a strong conservative congress...not a worthless RINO Romney.

Good point.

Fool, you are being led by fear not principle or reason. Romney will do his own atrocities. He will not be any better.

Sadly, “Sola Veritas” is not the only one openly advocating another 4 years of Obama...

Sadly, you seem to make up facts out of thin air. What you're doing is intimidation of other FReepers who have made their stand to vote their conscience and not party lines. These attempts to intimidate also break the spirit of the truce.

Agamemnon quoted YOUR post, in which you said you prefer Obama.

Agamemnon’s post, post 152, responding to your post 141 on this thread, then back to 119 (A) and 110 (SV) and so on.

You can do anything you want, it’s a free country, so far, anyway. But trying to claim there is no difference between Obama and Romney only shows you are detached from reality.

“Sadly, you seem to make up facts out of thin air.”

I agree with you. I’m starting to think they really are Romney supporters and part of the GOPe. They put a “hollow & worthless” win ahead of a principled, reasoned, and logical stand.

They seem to be totally obvious to the fact, I’m advocating a strong conservative congress. They must think this is not so important. Plus, they even misquote Jim Robinson. He allows the ABO crowd to stay on FR, but he himself does not subsribe to that line of thought. He has written that he will NOT vote for Romney. He is also encouraging others to put strong conservatives in the House and Senate.

Intimidate?! ROTFL!

Yes, I am sure other posters are just shaking in terror when reading my post pointing out the obvious, that the election is between Obama and Romney.

People should indeed be shaking in terror at the tought of another four years of Obama.

I think they’re just raisin’ a ruckus because they can. They’ve been doing it for a long time on FR and will continue to, it seems. And that’s the way maybe it should be on FR: Let the weeds grow with the wheat until come harvest time. I detected multiple notes of insincerity in their posts on this thread today. Just out for fun and kicks.

No thanks. Not buying what you’re trying to sell today and yesterday. Your words do not ring authentically and your conclusions are flawed.

Quit pinging me to your arguments. I’ve stated my opinion on this forum many times and it still stands. I will never support an abortionist/homosexualist/statist for the presidency. That automatically rules out both Obama and Romney.

Well boys, so much for your “Jim’s gonna get you lie.” Openly posted, Jim doesn’t support your position of backing Romney. I don’t like bothering Jim. However, I don’t like hollow threats from punks either.

So, post your ABO insanity, and it will be vigorously opposed.....and no matter how you try to spin it, Jim Robinson isn’t gonna kick your opposition off. He has already “allowed” you to stay on with your ABO stuff. I was fully aware of that. So, enjoy your “freedom of speech” but realize you don’t monopolize it.

Very good. Succinct and direct to the point. Well done!

You might want to look back a few posts and see where Jim Robinson has made it clear he won’t vote for Romney...it was always clear that no one here would vote for Obama.

Aside from the name calling, this statement makes complete sense:

"The argument that Romney is somehow entitled to my, or anyones, vote is WRONG. It is offensive to the extreme. If Romney cannot get the vote out, it is his own dang fault."

By the way gentlemen. I am fully aware of what Obama is attempting to pull off. He WON’T succeed...we will ensure congress stops him. If you want to waste your time on helping Romney, you have diverted from the real force for change in this election...the congress.

“Primaries are over”... wth! I have yet to vote babydoll....not over for me. And no nominating convention, yet you just call it. You are no better than the RATS who seek to steal our right to vote and have it count. You should just sign up for the NEW WORLD ORDER while you’re at it.

I hope you can vote in a miracle, because short of that or some slick move at the convention, we are stuck with mitt.
