Man who fathered 30 kids says he needs a break—on child support

And you thought Octomom had her hands full—a Tennessee man who has fathered 30 children is asking the courts for a break on child support.

Desmond Hatchett, 33, of Knoxville has children with 11 different women, reports WREG-TV.

The state already takes half his paycheck and divides it up, which doesn't amount to much when Hatchett is making only minimum wage. Some of the moms receive as little as $1.49 a month. The oldest child is 14 years old.

Hatchett explains how he reached such a critical mass: He had four kids in the same year. Twice.

The minority births is about to exceed the white births, according to the census as reported this week. If you didn't know before, you know the reason now. Also, in another article a few months ago, the number of children born to minority single women already exceeds those born into married minority households. That means the welfare roles are increasing exponentially, and not because of poverty.

And if you think about this from a biological standpoint you could say he adapted remarkable well to his immediate environment and made maximum use of the potential resources. His many offspring will presumably carry many of these same traits making him a model of genetic success and survivability.

This is the most logical outcome to occur if society shifts the cost of child-rearing to those outside the immediate family. He is taking advantage of the mental weakness of other members of his species and winning the evolutionary battle.

The women stand at the gates of their own vaginas.

Yes, it takes two to tango and make a child but she ultimately makes the yea/nay decision. A woman making the responsible decision usually has a mother and a FATHER who are disproportionately influential on that decision.

I think the fathers do have a little more influence than the mothers in regards to that decision and I bet dollars to donuts that the women he irresponsibly knocked up don’t have fathers of their own. They either skipped out on them, are dead, or in prison.

But those thirty children are, for the most part, the responsibility of the tax payers.

It’s time to end the insanity of subsidizing irresponsibility. End all entitlements, subsidies, welfare, aid and other such similar government handouts to both individuals and corporations. 60% (and growing) of our annual budget goes to entitlements alone.

I would definitely like to see a disincentive government program created to discourage out-of-wedlock births for both the mother and father of the child.

The disincentives could range from fines to jail time, sterilization, taking classes on the effects of out-of-wedlock births and their costs on society, taking away the child and putting it up for adoption, etc.

If the parents of the pair that had the child want to take responsibility then let them. I would just make sure that the courts keep them accountable for that child until that he/she turns 18.
