You are the first person I've ever run across that describes coffee as a "nasty beverage". Coffee is probably the best tasting drink in the history of human civilization. They even put coffee flavor in chocolate bars and ice cream.

Coffee is so good that I think of it constantly and when I have trouble getting out of bed in the morning, I just think about a hot steaming cup of coffee from Dunkin Donuts and I find the will power to cast aside the sheets and start my day.

Sometimes I even have coffee at night except I throw a little Kahlua or whiskey in there to counteract the caffeine.

I'm just wondering if you maybe you had a bad experience with coffee. Maybe you happened to get a bad cup in a gas station or something.

I used to ‘hate’ coffee, probably had it a couple of times when I was a kid made straight or something...I always loved coffee ice cream and coffee milk (eclipse syrup-yum)I like coffee now, 2 sugars - milk or not....

I know loads of people who ‘hate’ coffee but love coffee ice cream - My husband loves coffee but hates coffee ice cream - what’s up with that? lol

I will carry this study theory further and proclaim that coffee ice cream should also be consumed daily to prolong longevity:>)

I’m another one who can’t stand coffee - I don’t particularly care for the greasy taste and it gives me a tummy ache if I drink more than one cup. OTOH, I drink up to 8 cups of hot tea a day (plain ole’ Lipton) and have for some 40 years and never a tummy problem with tea. Go figure.

I agree with you Sam, a good cup of coffee is one of the best things God ever invented. My dad was a huge coffee drinker and we had many a great conversation over a cup of coffee. Gosh I miss those days. All my dad wanted during the last 3 days of his life was coffee with a little cream and sugar. That was the last thing he was served the day before he passed. I know I will be the same way.

I would make the second one then. I have tried it many different ways over the years but cannot stand the taste of any of it. If it tasted as good as it smelled, I would drink it heavily.

On the other hand, I love milk and like hot chocolate.

I LOVE coffee...love the aroma in the coffee aisles of grocery stores but as a Navy brat we always had a fresh pot of coffee on...thank you LORD for proving that coffee is good for our health. Cheers! I am a coffee fanatic..best invention on God’s green earth..EVER and a little enhancements such as Baileys irish cream make it even better.

Hey, one of life’s joys in the Army was the cooks filling my canteen cup with some good ol’ joe boiled in a large cookpot. When the grounds came cascading in, cookie just said, “that’ll stick to your ribs!”

;^)
