She is not running.

Obama is pro-abortion.
Romney has been all over the map on pro-abortion and pro-life.

Goode has a 100% pro-life record.

Which of the above 3 candidates has been the consistent conservative?

I don’t think the ERA was a conservative proposal. Nor was Gov. Wilder a conservative. And he lost his own district to a Dem.

On the ballot in how many states?

Sorry, not a serious candidate against Obama. Primary mission in this election is to remove the regime from power. Goode is not good for that mission - if anything he hinders it.

Obama supported the TARP bailout.
Romney supported the TARP bailout.

Goode voted against it.

Which one is the conservative?

(Did you know repubs punished him monetarily for that vote and that it hurt his campaign?)

I don’t really care what Goode’s positions are. If I wanted to vote for the person who most agrees with my positions, I’d vote for myself.

But that would stupid because I have no chance of defeating the Obama marxist regime.

And neither does Goode.

Thanks for posting this, xzins. I'm listening now and so far, I like him. Goode sounds like an intelligent, very well educated, sober, reasonable man with some good ideas and sound principles.

Wikipedia says he served in the Virginia Army National Guard from 1969-1975.

I haven't had a chance to read his entire history. He's a Viriginia lawyer, he used to be a Democrat and switched sometime around 2000, he sounds like he is for enforcing current immigration laws.

I'm waiting to hear him speak about his positions on foreign relations, defense at home and overseas, the economy, education, etc.

He is answering questions off the cuff, and doesn't redirect the question. I like that. He is explaining why he only wants to serve one term.

At this point in his interview, Virgil Goode sounds to me like he is a good citizen first and a politician second.

“On the ballot in how many states?”

LOL. Going to be interesting to see how he charts a path to electoral victory through those 17 states.

Would I rather have Obama, Romney, or Goode as my president?

Would you rather have Obama or Romney? That's the real question.

Goode isn't running for president. You can think he is but in the real world, he's not. In the real world, the next President will be either Barack Obama or Mitt Romney. Not Virgil Goode, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny or the resurrected ghost of Ronald Reagan.

Obama or Romney. Who do you want?

Goode is extremely pro-gun yet supported Wilder. He did not change his pro-gun views.

Goode is extremely pro-life and anti-gay agenda yet he supported the ERA. He did not budge one inch on life and gay agenda.

He supported Wilder to show acceptance of equality for Blacks, and he supported the ERA portion about equality of opportunity under the law. Everyone at the time said it was the extremes to which a court might interpret the ERA tha they worried about, not about standing for equality of opportunity and equal treatment under the law.

At NO TIME did he become anti-gun or anti-life.

Obama is BOTH anti-guna and anti-life.
Romney was BOTH anti-gun and anti-life.

Goode has ALWAYS been pro-gun and pro-life.

Which one is the conservative.

So, the best you have against Goode is that he believed in equal opportunity under the law, supporting both a black man and a equality for females?

I agree with *all* my positions on the issues. So I’m a much better candidate for me to vote for.

And, as I said previously, “In accordance with FR custom..” we have to completely trash all candidates. Nothing personal.

So, I’m sorry, being a Democrat and supporting the liberal feminist agenda is a deal-killer for Goode. Gotta rule him out for that.

Well that and he has no chance of defeating the Obama regime.

Sorry, but you’re wrong.

He never violated pro-life, pro-gun, anti-gay agenda.

Ever.

But, Romney has consistently. Obama too.

Which one is the conservative: Obama, Romney, or Goode?

I’m more conservative than any of them! Hooray for me!

But I’m not voting for me - for anything.

If Goode were running for congress in my district - and was on the ballot - I might vote for him.

But not against Obama for president in this election. That would be stupid and very contrary to the good of the republic.

IMHO, of course.

The Constitution Party was on the ballot in 40 states in 2008. They will be again, and maybe a few more.

That only highlights the hurdles that are placed before 3rd parties to gain ballot access, and those hurdles are created by commissions with members from the....you guessed it....dem/rep parties.

Nonetheless, George Bush won with only 29 states in 2000 and with 30 states in 2004. So, depending on the states, a win could be easily had with 40 states. No one is getting Calif, NY, etc. out of the democrats hands in this cycle.

Yeah, sure.

Do you really believe that?

Is so, a wager: I’ll give you $1000 for every state Goode wins if you’ll give me a dime for every one he doesn’t.

Deal?

I think you're wrong there. And their candidate got less than 200k votes that year. Goode said they were "ballot eligible" in 17 states and 'hoped' to be in 40 states.

Which, by the way is still short of Lenora Fulani of the New Alliance party in 1988 - she was on the ballot in all 50 states during her first Presidential campaign. Perhaps Goode should hire her.

Goode... But he has zero chance...

The unfortunate choice is Romney vs Obama. Obama is far far worse

Agreed, Goode has no chance...

Another person who has no chance is Romney.

SO...

Lets meet in the middle and force the GOP to open the convention and we can come up with a candidate that is acceptable to the base.

Otherwise...

The GOP loses... GAURANTEED...

There's only one state Virgil Goode might have an impact in: Virginia. And this is because he could potentially gather enough votes to throw the state to Obama.
