As I wrote yesterday, the Tea Party movement really isn’t about making the GOP a more conservative party; it’s about making what is already a conservative party more obstinate, unyielding and hostile to Democrats.

As if someone writing for Salon has a clue. In any event, I'd be happy with these results...

IOW, help make our form of government more “conservative”, in a sort of “back to the constitution” sort of way.

I think that would be a good thing.

If anyone at Salon ever came into hard contact with a clue it would be worthy of a blue siren headline on Drudge!

the Tea Party movement really isn’t about making the GOP a more conservative party; it’s about making what is already a conservative party more obstinate, unyielding and hostile to Democrats. A surprise victory by Sarah Palin’s candidate today would help that cause.

That's true only if you define being "conservative" as saying you're conservative and then signing your name onto liberal legislation. Yes, the Tea Party is about actually being conservative, not just paying lip service to it.

Why shouldn't we want to be "hostile to Democrats" because they are certainly hostile to the Tea Party as is this know-it-all Salon creator. He obviously thinks that he is smarter than the rest of us.

Yes, the Tea Party is about actually being conservative, not just paying lip service to it.

And THAT is why they are afraid.

Geez... was that guy even old enough to vote in the 2008 election cycle?

I have gym socks older than him. And he is a political “analyst”????

Steve Kornacki, news editor for Salon, has come out as a gay man, in an article written for the site in which he explains the hows and the whys, as well as the why nots, of his coming to terms with being gay.

So you prefer Loud, Looney and Losers? There is only one Tea Party candidate who has won a state-wide vote, Senator Paul. This is not a conservative electorate. AT BEST 30% are really conservative no matter what they tell pollsters. This is why Democrats are elected in huge numbers.

‘....it’s about making an already conservative party...’

Ditched his own credibility right there. But it looks as though he’s half-ass attempting to stumble onto the truth.

Seeing the number of Democrats who left the party AFTER Clinton to become Republicans, I see nothing left in the Rats nest worthy of negotiation or support.

The party of Pelosi, Obama, Jackson-Lee, and Kennedy is a corrupt socialist coven.

The modern Democrat party is openly hostile to my party, my politics, my religion, and my nation.

They can go screw themselves while they remain the party of Jim Jones, John Wayne Gacy, et al.

... unyielding and hostile to Democrats

Unlike the Democrats, who are so pliable and friendly to Republicans.
