God did not make animals to be separate from Man. He made them to be aside us.
The moment we loved a pet (cloers than family sometimes), God was there. He would never discard our love for our beloved animal friends (be they dogs, cats, gerbils, horses or elephants). God is omnipotent. He can and will reunite us with our beloved animal friends in the bye and bye.
When I die a herd of Mule Deer will come and burn down my house - or maybe not. They still have some relatives in the freezer.
