Stenberg didn’t seem to be going anywhere and Bruning’s a liberal. So good for Sarah for endorsing Fischer. It seems to have worked. One less apologist republican in the Senate!
Does anyone think that people are TRYING to split the conservative vote so we end up with the most liberal candidate? Look how we got the liberal rino romney.
Yes, some are trying. But are you thinking that SP is trying to split the conservative vote? Thanks.
I’m not saying she should learn to work the DC system like most politicians do, to help themselves. The republicans I know are saying, because of her naiveâ, she could trust the wrong people.....she has no street smarts to fight the system.
This election is the most frustrating of my life. With romney, I have lost all my enthusiasm for this election. He still has to go to one pro-life event he was asked to attend. He now is on record as a republican candidate, for gays adopting. If romney is playing games like I think he is, conservatives better be ready for a third party election in 2016.
NEBRASKA
Jon Bruning
U.S. Senate
Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning is a true conservative, proving throughout his career the willingness to stand up to his own party, if necessary, to bring conservative principles to work in Nebraska state government. Bruning made a name for himself in the state legislature as a principled defender of freedom and opponent of raising taxes. Today, he is known as The Peoples lawyer in Nebraska. He has vigorously defended his state from unconstitutional liberal Washington mandates and has organized other states to fight back against the excesses of the Obama Administration. He has led a twenty-six state lawsuit to defeat Obamacare and end the health care mandate. He is a proven fighter against wasteful spending, recovering millions of taxpayer dollars in Medicaid fraud cases. Jon Bruning is prepared to take his leadership to Washington and fight for conservatives. He wants to defeat incumbent Senator Ben Nelson, infamous as the promoter of the Cornhusker Kickback.
“This does bode well for a Tea-Party fueled takeover of the Senate this coming November.”
The Tea Party is backing the wrong candidate in Nebraska.
How can they say she has no experience with laws? She was in the State Senate for 8 years, the same amount of time Obama was in the State Senate when he ran for the IL Senate seat(and equal or surpassing many other current US Senators if you look up their records). She has plenty experience with laws. Arguably, being in a State Senate is the best apprenticeship/experience and most similar to being in the US Senate. And since NE has a unicameral legislature she arguably has more experience and resposibility than most State Senators.
It’s not like she just showed up off the street here.
Why would the Tea Party endorse the biggest RINO running ?
Perhaps they should get behind Ben Nelson.
He’s not a RINO, right?
You can start a thread pushing Nelson if you wish.
What’s your major malfunction ? Bruning was outed as a RINO phony and Eric Holder supporter in the mode of the execrable Chuck Hagel. The two other GOP candidates, Stenberg & Fischer aren’t. As for the Cornhusker Huckster Nelson, I wasn’t aware he was running again. Has the Stalinist Bob Kerrey been informed, yet ?
Sorry, didn’t see that “outing.” (your second sentence)
Got some links?
Thanks

I initially endorsed Bruning until I found out the guy was nothing but an establishment toadie and liberal apologist, a Chuck Hagel redux. I switched my endorsement to Don Stenberg, but as he moved to last in the polls, I switched to Deb Fischer, who had the best shot at beating Bruning. Both Stenberg & Fischer are good folks, Bruning not so much.
Your post on the so-called Tea Party Express ‘endorsing’ Bruning is dated, as it says he’s running against Nelson. Nelson dropped out and was replaced by the vastly more leftist ex-Sen. Bob Kerrey. No movement Conservatives of any credibility are on board with with Bruning’s candidacy (and if they were at any point, as I was months ago, have since dropped off).
Here’s another article with a more comprehensive review of Bruning’s stances from 2 weeks ago...
Thanks for the info, I’ll look at it later when I have time
I wish I knew that this morning. I knew nothing about her and apparently they did not either. I was voting for Stenberg, so her rise in the pollls made no difference to me. It wasn’t until I read about her here that I considered her.
The Independence Hall Tea Party in PA/NJ endorsed Romney back around January. Some of this tea is weak and needs to be dumped in the harbor.
Then you’d be poisoning the water. That tainted tea needs to be nuked from orbit... it’s the only way to be sure.
