It passes the legislature 153-3 and the unbiased press calls it an embarrassment to the state.
What Kansas really needs is forced marriages for 6 years olds, girls covered head to toe and honor killings I guess.

Thank You Kansas!
A welcome glimpse of sanity in an
otherwise loony world.

Yah,and the voters of California voted to outlaw homosexual marriage. There's sure to be at least *one* Osama/BillyBob.Jimmah appointee who's willing to set the misguided Kansas legislature straight.

"a measure critics have blasted as an embarrassment to the state. "Maybe the embarrasement is that a few scarecrows in Kansas have finally gotten a brain. The rest of the states will have to catch up before the cancer of Islam spreads across America.

Seems to me I read something about "consent of the governed." If we haven't voted on it, it shouldn't be applied to us.

“A report earlier this year showed that nearly a third of Americans believed American Muslims want to establish Sharia law in the United States.”
Did these journalists even considered those *Muslims* who have said they want to establish Sharia law in the United States?
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=42010
A U.S. Muslim group (The Islamic Thinker’s Society) is planning a demonstration featuring controversial British imams who are advocating for the implementation of Sharia law in the United States, in front of the White House.
Hizb ut-Tahrir (HT), (is) a group seeking to install a global Islamic caliphate. HT also seeks to destroy democracy and states that Sharia has supremacy over the Constitution in the United States.

Yes, indeed.
This even being brought up, much less passed by the KS Senate, might be due to the "Retire the RINOs" move throughout the Senate ranks (especially those in KS 3rd Congressional District.
