If I didn't live in a swing state, I might even partake of that luxury, but since I do, there is just one question which seals it for me:
Which Supreme Court nominee was easier to stop? Harriett Meyers? Or Elena Kagan?
The former was just an unqualified crony, the latter a hardcore Marxist.
If Obama selects a Van Jones or Deval Patrick, ultra Marxists, even if we have majorities in the Senate, will they have the balls to stop it? When the libs and media will call us racist if we block it? Can we really muster the votes to stop it under that pressure?
Then, under the guide of diversity, he selects an Arab American... Again with the threat of being called racist, she gets seated....
We then have a 6-3 lib majority that even Reagan reincarnated can't help us with... And they will torment us for 20-30 years.
The stakes are too high to sit out and prove a point... Another 4 years of Obama, unleashed, will rip apart ouf country... Permanently
Good point. Did Republicans even put up a token opposition to Obama's SCOTUS appointments? With Harriet Miers, Republicans said not only "no" but "Hell NO!" and we got Samuel Alito instead.
