For President Barack Obama and his team, the decision to back gay marriage came down to a choice between two unpalatable alternatives: support it and brave the backlash in battleground states where the issue could be a liability — or keep silent and be accused by allies of gutlessness and putting politics over principle.
Administration officials said the president planned to announce his support before the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte this September. But they admit that Vice President Joe Biden did, indeed, force their hand.

You could be right. Some guy thought that Obama might be afraid to have the Clintons in the position to initiate operation arkancide, so I suppose he could get some sort of *insurance* to insure it wouldn’t happen and vamp up his security service. - I sure hope not; but some imagine that Hillary is in a position to call the shots in an election. Evidently, a lot of people weren’t watching when the Clinton horror inhabited the White House.

No way they did; it has not passed the ultimate popularity test (the secret ballot, where they can’t hound you at your home or job) in ANY state (including CA, ME). Either he was bribed to do this with campaign funds, or he was bribed with retirement funds; if he pushes the Bolshevik agenda further before the election, it was the latter.

I think your hunches are pretty accurate, but you left out the side benefit of distracting America from zero’s record and changing the term of the debate to social issues.
In fact, every conservative should say “This is not news. We knew BO’s position all along and that his half-hearted position before was just another of his lies. Now let’s get back to talking about the economy...”
This is B.S. Last week, Mark Levin told us the marxist-in-chief’s schedule and Nobama had 2 meetings with Biden on different days. I’m sure the meetings were to discuss Biden’s upcoming appearance on the Sunday shows. This was a planned “outing.” Nobama has always been for gay marriage no matter what he’s stated in the past. He’s a liar; even his “outing” yesterday was full of lies.
They did it because Hollyweird has been turning their backs on Obama. His fundraising from the Hollyweirdos has been way down. He’s having an event with Georgia Porgey (probably another one in the closet) and they planned this to get more and bigger donations from the Hollyweirdos. Look, he collected $1 million in 90 minutes after he came out.
