The very air itself in NY is saturated by mouse and rat fecal material. Blech. Safer to buy Sarah Lee.... made by illegals who love America....

I guess you missed it where NYC is now going to regulate private buses that come into the city, they will need a permit.

It’s easy to get a ticket in that city. The parking meter only allows for one hour intervals so if you forget you most likely have a ticket especialy if your on the main roads. Commercial designated areas get 3 hours. And at $65 a pop it adds up. Parking in non authorized zone its $95. Double park its $120 or so(and yes they sometimes consider it double parking if you stop for the briefest of moments). Just watch the meeter maids, its like they follow the FedEx and UPS drivers not to mention delievery trucks. They hand the tickets out like cheap candy.

And the thing is if those Fedex and UPS trucks stopped delivering, the city would shut down in a week. Where do people think all that stuff comes from they buy in stores? Do they think the shelves magically re-supply themselves? I saw a food truck delivering food to a supermarket last month and the ticket agent throwing tickets on the guys windshield. This is a guy who brings FOOD into the city, who was not blocking anybody, and here he is getting punished!

The city has so many scams going on to steal peoples money it makes my head spin. Probably one of the worst I ever heard was a friend of mine who drives a cab part time. He said one day last year he was stuck in traffic on 7th avenue in the far right lane, and this lady got into his cab and told him to go down into the Village. And as soon as he moved, this cop walked up to him and ended up giving him a ticket for “improper pickup” The lady if you can believe it got into his cab when it was more than 12” from the curb!
So he goes down to court later on and tells the judge he did nothing, he was stopped in traffic and she got in, and the Judge didn’t care and convicted him anyway. $130 buck fine and he had 2 weeks to pay.

So get this: Being that he already had 9000 other tickets to pay, he didn’t pay that one on time. I think he said he was a day late. So he goes off and drives a cab and gets pulled over again, the cop checks his license and comes back to him and tells him to step out of the car and tells him his license has been suspended and he is under arrest for driving with a suspended license. Why was it suspended? Because he was a day late paying the “improper pickup” ticket which was now raised to $200. And then to get out of jail he had to pay $500 plus the $200 for $700 total! And all for DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG!! For just sitting in his cab stuck in traffic! Can you believe that sh*t?? This is North Korean crap, not America! But it is America, and one of it’s biggest cities which to me is absolutely run under Despotism.

YOU are designated the “owner”, therefore YOU ARE RICH, therefore your bank account is fair game

A nice lady at the banking institution I use advised me to keep my business balance low (less than 6 figures)--I do. Stay under the radar as much as possible.

That is the result of Central Planners (Totaltitalitarians). They ultimately do not care what the end results look like unless it comes back to bit them, by then its to late for everyone as the damage is done. And you know what, they just may want to shut down the city. If they want to control the amount of cars on the road, then they certainly will need to scale back the economic activity which result in less taxes.

I have come to the conclusion that these are people who simply could not make it on there own in life, so they have to torment everyone else who can with their misery which seems to be the only thing that they are good at.

We closed down the business in ‘89 NOT JUST because of the government assault on our piggy bank, but also they of a sudden decided they needed to regulate harmless chemical products we used miniscule amounts of to create what it was we built, and sold. NOT ONLY did they decide to regulate these small viles of product, but began charging us a fee for their regulation of said products as well.

We decided to “H” with the business as it wasn’t worth the effort anymore. All the enjoyment of owning ones own small business venture (it was truly a “Mom & Pop entity) was regulated, and fee’d away.

Sadly, you were not the first, nor, in our current state of affairs, will you be the last.

The tentacles of government control are like the Hydra, cut one off and seven more appear. It has become so ingrained in our society most people have no clue what freedom is, and are more fearful of the responsibility that comes with it than being suffocated by petty regulation.

One odd little quirk there....if you’re low on sodium, it tends to make you both ravenous and thirsty...but if what you’re eating isn’t salty, then you’re cramming down wasted calories.

Sounds like a certain public employee was sending a message—grease the palm and all will be well.
