You just seem MILITANT about some of it...that’s all...FYI

I’m passionate about it.
I worked with eating disorders. Young lives ruined. Losing teeth, having heart attacks, fainting, etc. It’s hard to overcome.

It’s harder when all the “experts” tell truths that are not truths.

Call it Militant if you like. Seriously, I don’t really mind. Because no one here is a delicate flower, but those who are affected, are just that.

It's true, if I eat more calories than I use, I'll gain weight.

Why does this simple fact confuse you so much?

“Here is an easy experiment for you. Live for two weeks on Karo Syrup and a OneaDay vitamin. Forty TBSP (2.5 cups) will give you 2400 calories. By your theory, you should gain weight.”

Try it, get back to me. Or don’t. But until then, Later!

I did not attempt to brag. My point was that it is not only a matter of how many calories you consume.
Note, I already have a heart problem and it is not related to cholesterol.

Eating calories does not equal absorbing them.

If you want to claim that you can eat 2400 calories, burn 2000 calories, excrete 400 calories, and not gain weight, why do you think I would disagree?

Not me. I’m self managed. When I decided it was time to drop pounds I decided there were certain rules. I wasn’t gonna live without bread so Atkins was out, I wasn’t gonna live without greasy sausage so Scarsdale was out, and I wasn’t gonna count #$%^ so Weight Watchers was out (along with Atkins again and a number of others). I just paid attention, figured out what was wrong with my eating habits (not actually that difficult) and fixed them plus added a lot of exercise and walla. Well OK not walla, it took about 2 years to get to my eventual target. But I respect Weight Watchers, it’s a fine program, works well for a lot of people, and my “program” has a lot of similarities. Of course it’s hard not to, eat less, eat smarter and get your ass out to the gym and on the bike trail, most of the programs that aren’t gadgety boil down to something very similar to that, because it works.
