Gingrich has more character than I thought.
So Newt's endorsement will come only after Mitt pulls out his checkbook?
If you are wondering why Newt is acting so strange about his exit from the race, it is all about money. He is angling to get Romney to help retire his campaign debt. I always thought that Newt’s entry into this race was all about money and never about winning.
Yeah, It's all about "character" all right!
I only recently found out Newt went on a Mediterranean cruise when he should have been hitting the ground kissing babies. I guess I wanted Newt to be president more than he did.
Gingrich, you da man!
Gingrich won’t endorse.
Santorum hasn’t endorsed.
What could THAT mean? hehehe
The only difference between the bastard and Willard is that one is half white and the other is white...or, one is half Kenyan and the other is half Mexican.
Negotiating a joint appearance probably means if Romney pays off a lot of his debt he will get the appearance. LOL
Character??? oh yeah.. he is full of that...
I am truley shocked anyone gave money to that turd.. they deserve to lose it...
all he wants is $$$
************************************************ Newt Gingrich to endorse Mitt Romney Hard-won respect is declared. by John Hayward 05/01/2012 In an interview with USA Today, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said that he will endorse former rival Mitt Romney after he formally suspends his own candidacy, and will actively campaign for Romney. Gingrich also said Romney would help him retire his campaign debt. There had been some speculation that Gingrich might hesitate to endorse Romney, given the often bitter tone of the campaign. However, Gingrich offered Romney some hard-won respect in his USA Today interview: "Mitt Romney met the first criteria of being a good candidate: He won," Gingrich said...... The formal conclusion of the Gingrich campaign is scheduled for Wednesday, while his formal endorsement of Mitt Romney will come at a joint appearance within the next few weeks. ********************************* http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=51228
Two things. Newt will not endorse until after Romney crosses the 1,144 threshold, which will probably occur on the night of the Texas Primary.
In addition, Newt is a smart pol and he will see if Romney will help him out on his debt in order to get that endorsement, figuring it will be cheaper to get the endorsement and the positive momentum from it, then spend extra money in ads to make up for not having it.
I expect the same type of thing is going on with Santorum.
Here is the rest of the story:

We want to make sure he doesnt replace it with any kind of mandate, Santorum adviser Hogan Gidley said. He added, Rick just wants to have a candid, open conversation about making sure the folks in the 11 states that voted for him, and the conservative movement, have a voice in the Romney campaign.

Good luck with any of that...
With Willie mitty there are no assurances...
amd the Conservative “movement” neednt expect to have muxh of a “voice in the Romney campaign.
Willie has no time for Conservatism...
Gingrich exits and hardly anyone notices.
No big news reports or headlines.
Santorum’s and Cain’s exits drew more attention.
[Newt, you hung on too long. Most knew the inevitable after your FL debacle.]
...and Cain did, and Perry did, and Santorum did.
Clearly opinions vary.
I do not like a lot of what Ayn Rand stood for, but I did like a lot of it very much.
Newt is the only one that I am aware of that has not prostituted himself at the alter of “any Republican”. I respect that. Other things, less so.
Then again, I used to think all divorced people were second class citizens until it happened to me, out of the blue and without cause. It gave me some perspective.
It’s one of those “judge not, lest you be judged” things.
“So Newt’s endorsement will come only after Mitt pulls out his checkbook?”
Hey now, he needs that $$$ so he can retire to his moon condo...haha...what a weasel!
All true.
