Try this thought experiment: You decide to donate money to Mitt Romney. You want change in the Oval Office, so you engage in your democratic right to send a check.
Several days later, President Barack Obama, the most powerful man on the planet, singles you out by name. His campaign brands you a Romney donor, shames you for "betting against America," and accuses you of having a "less-than-reputable" record. The message from the man who controls the Justice Department (which can indict you), the SEC (which can fine you), and the IRS (which can audit you), is clear: You made a mistake donating that money.

Maybe they are “less-than-reputable”.
Those types fund candidates from both parties.
What will happen during the debates when this law goes into effect? Could Romney get arrested at the debates if he talks against the President? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljLi_hBLy3A
Just who is Jon Corzine? And who is he bundling donations for nowadays?
Once you can get past the “lovable”, “popular” and “likable” part, communism is uglier than hell.
Yes, Satin Doll. Greasy Corzone came to my mind immediately too on this one.
You can take the thug out of Chicago...
I wonder if Romney will express any objections to this.
My guess: no. Crickets.
Obama is not the second coming of Jimmy Carter. He is the second coming of Ricard Nixon.
You decide to donate money to Mitt Romney....
....You made a mistake donating that money.
Next time dont drink so much...
Yup. I still remember this - http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2008/09/missouris_obama_truth_squads_2.html
And Joe the plumber....
May God give us strength.
Comments at source are interesting in both their substance and volume against Obama.
I understand the current at this site is against Romney. But if not him, who? Do we leave the Chicago thug ayt Pennsylvania Ave? I for one will support Romney. Remember if we can get enough of the right congressmen and senators in place, we can do alot, more if Romney is there than if Obama is there. If Obama retains the presidency, the nation is lost.
Then donate like the Democrats and foreign dictators do, with pre-purchased visa debit cards. What?
That is an affront to the memory of Richard Nixon.
Remember if we can get enough of the right congressmen and senators in place,
Whats “the right congressmen and senators” got to do with the presidency ???
Congress is a whole other branch of government...
When did we start picking a congress to be watchdogs on our own paqrtys president ???
Why not just elect the “right” congress
and a president other than Willie Mitty...
No worries kid...
In practical terms, who do you have in mind that can defeat Obama this point? Congress is important in that the control the purse strings, and generate the laws. The president is just a suggester of laws. He can propose up the wazoo, but only Congress can do any action. As you said, they are a separate branch of government with their own duties.
