Insulting FReepers is not exactly the best way to solicit funds.

You may want to reflect on why contributions are way off.

Jim Robinson himself recognizes that his stance on Romney may be hurting fund raising. It is choice, but the consequences might force consideration of alternative fund raising models such as those discussed in his thread linked above.

Did you misunderstand my post? I am not Jim Robinson. I do not own FreeRepublic. You saw nothing wrong with that “house negro” bullshit, but my post was insulting?

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of that going around. It started with beginning of the primaries, and has on occasion gone nearly rabid with entire mobs piling on—often led or at least encouraged by mods. I’ll never understand why conservatives so viciously attack other conservatives, simply because they favor a different candidate in the primaries. Whole threads celebrated the ensuing zots—without considering that they just (a) cut off a good revenue source, and (b) ran off a good conservative, whose only “crime” was supporting someone other than Cain or Gingrich.

It’s ironic, though, that everyone the wilding zotters favored were duds at the polls.

Actually contribution are pretty much on for 45 days. FR usually will raise $65,000 to 70 thousand in about 30 days with no sweat, and the last $25 thousand to 90+ grand will take 15 days. The last one took a little longer but was still successful at raising the operating funds.
