================The previous low for voter turnout was in 2004, when only 20 percent of Democrats cast ballots in the Primary. John Kerry, Joe Lieberman, Howard Dean and John Edwards were on the ballot in that contest.==================
And we all know about the Kerry presidency.

I’ll never understand Republicans. If ya don’t want Romney, then VOTE FOR SOMEONE ELSE! Don’t stay home! This is a PRIMARY! It’s like herd mentality with these primary voters. You vote for who you WANT, not who the polls and media say is ahead!

Well this doesn't say much for Gingrich either. People didn't vote because the GOP presented no viable alternative to Romney.
If only Palin had decided to run. It would be Reagan vs Carter all over again and the GOP landslide would have been even bigger.

Apparently, the republicans are perfectly happy with keeping obama in the white house, otherwise they wouldn't have foisted a loser like romney on us. I think the left and right in washington have merged into one party, called the “let's loot America” party.

Yes it was a low turnout. So now the CT officials are complaining that it costs too much to do a primary. Remember we are super liberal here. Does that surprise anyone?

"just 14.4 percent of eligible Republicans turned out for the Primary" Rove, FOX and the GOP-e are out of their fricken' gourds.
Well, guess their job number one is done. Kill the tea party.

Are you aware of the fact that it is against FR rules to change the title of an Article. I could not believe the
“(Nobody wants Romney)” part of the title. So, I went to the actual article and sure enough, it DID NOT say that. So, apparently you added it. I wish you folks wouldn’t do stupid stuff like that. I mean, I thought: “NBC might be scum but they can’t be that stupid to say ‘Nobody wants Romney’. Apparently somebody does. He’s going to be the GOP nominee.”
PLEASE DON’T MISLEAD FREEPERS BY CHANGING TITLES OF ARTICLES!!!

The primary system is broken. There needs be a conservative primary first who would then beat the establishment candidate.

Romney should quit and give his position to Sarah Palin.
The people want Sarah Palin, not Romney.
America NEEDS Sarah Palin, NOT Romney.
Romney should quit, and Newt, they should all just quit.
let it be a brokered convention. They still have an equal chance.
Run Sarah Run!
