Newt didn't quit. He got beat. It happens sometimes.
The fact still remains, Newt not winning any Primaries or Caucuses remained in the race long after Santorum still was.
You folks can choose to grasp at straws to defend Newt, but Newt has nobody to blame but himself for the take of many people who now see him as a major spoiler.
He waited in just long enough to see Santorum drop out, then he dropped out.
