The problem is that no one will just step in and take control of the GOP back from the moderates. The GOP is a lost cause. Any conservatives who continue to support the Republican Party are masochists. Its time for a genuine Conservative Party. As of April 10 (the date Rick dropped out), the non-Romney total vote was 6 million. The Romney vote was 5 million.
This had nothing to do with all the boogie men in your dreams and everything to do with we conservatives not being able to stick together.
If we can't stick together in the R party, how are we going to stick together in the C party? What's the difference?
Go back and read FR between Sep'11 and Feb'12 and tell me that ultra extreme sentiments expressed for and against various conservatives (Perry, Gingrich, Bachmann, Paul, Santorum, Cain... all conservative to one degree or another) wouldn't have been expressed had they all been running for the nomination in another party.
The problem isn't in our stars, it's in ourselves.
All of the candidates sucked, Newt just sucked the least. How can anyone reach consensus with so much suckage.
The problem isn't in our stars, it's in ourselves.
Bears repeating.
