Apparel News covers great story about an immigrant who is contributing to American productivity by promoting small US clothing companies.
“The goal is to find as many American-made brands and support them,” she said. “I would like to be the Amazon.com for everything made in the USA.”
To do that, she recently launched an e-commerce site dedicated exclusively to selling domestically crafted garments and accessories that she and her team have selected from scouring various sources in the heart of the downtown Los Angeles Fashion District, the Internet and trade shows.

Several years ago there was a site like this that I got off of here. There was just not many products at that time.
I'll bet Obama backers (if not the DownLow Boy himself) are behind this ploy.
Try such for Illinois or California...this really ought to work!
That’s one of our side businesses. The Fashion/Textile/Fabric District is probably the biggest in North America. Most companies such as Gap, American Apparel etc have their designers working in that district as the fabrics are well-within reach in the vicinity. Then again, most of the workers there are illegals but it doesn’t bother people..
Unless you want this great nation to fail. The goal is cheap energy, less government and more freedom. Capitalism creates wealth for all, but 0bama is working against the people.
I don’t know whether there are others around or not, but there is a store in Dover, York County, PA which sells ONLY American-made products, and it is doing quite well as word starts to get around.
It is a selling point.
One of my products uses a heavy-duty, adhesive-backed magnetic strip. Last time I re-ordered, I was given the choice of the magnet made in the USA or I could save about 20% by buying the *same* (not quite; they could not guarantee that the adhesive would be of the same high quality) item made in China. I stuck with the tried and true, since my product is all Made in America and is exported to Canada, putting it under NAFTA, where I have to certify that all elements are made in North America. However, I was afraid the company was going to switch entirely to Made In China, so I asked when the switch would take place. “Never”, said the rep. “Most of our customers are very adamant about only purchasing American made products. We will offer a choice, but that is all.”
I really hope they mean it. FWIW, she sounded very sincere, but I trust no one.
