The conservative base appears to be warming to Romney, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll conducted after Santorum's exit, which found that about 80 percent of conservative Republicans hold favorable views of Romney - a record percentage for the candidate. If one person in five passing in front of this reporter's house said they wanted to burn it to the ground, how would he react?

Evidently, he'd turn cartwheels.

And he’s still going to be pounded into dust by Obama because he’s only very marginally different than Obama.

“Reality...”

If “reality” is that A-political’s accept Romney as a “Conservative”, because they are ignorant of what a “Conservative” is, then I s’pose so.

I cannot support, nor vote for, a man who instituted gay marriage, signed an assault weapons ban, and inaugurated the beginnings of socialized medicine in the state he governed.

Conservatives are not warming towards Romney.

Perhaps “conservative Republicans” are....they almost no different from “conservative” or blue dog Democrats.

LOL, face the wrath of conservatives at re-election? He’s already shown the world that we’re toothless. Why on earth would he “fear” us.

Mitt Romney was not his first choice for president, but...

If I had a dollar for every time I heard or read that...

Romney is salivating at the thought of screwing us from behind every chance he gets.

I'm not convinced he'll nominate judges any less Liberal than Urkel has.

Well, maybe SLIGHTLY less Liberal, but still.

We have the antidote against this snake's bites; The Tea Party.

We have to get as many Tea Partiers as possible elected to Congress to make his life as difficult as possible.

If he wins.

At this point, I don't even care that his toadies are going to blame us if he loses. This country is toast either way.

Reality...

Reality is that no Tea Partier is going to bother going down to the polls to vote FOR a liberal in order to replace another liberal. They'll vote for Virgil Goode if they have to. And dems aren't going to vote AGAINST the current liberal in order to put in a liberal with an (R) after his name.

Many of us did not support Romney because of his record.

Many of us did not support either Newt or Rick because of their records.

Neither of these two could last the distance to win the nomination.

You can’t keep fighting the primaries into November.

I AM NOT a ‘ROMNEY SUPPORTER’. I AM AN ‘OBAMA OPPONENT’.

I WANT TO SEE OBAMA DEFEATED!!!

This was a rare once in a generation opportunity to replace Carter II with Reagan II. Instead we're getting Nixon II.

Here we go again. Another shill posting another bs pro-romney article. Here's the deal... I'm a "conservative" and as such most of my friends and family are "conservatives" and NONE OF US are in any way supporting romney. Here on FR there are thousands of "conservatives", I mean REAL "conservatives", not you wanna be conservatives of convenience (aka RINOs) and not ONE of the Conservatives I know of on this forum, or any of the others I frequent, support romney. We know we may as well be supporting obomba if we supported romney.

There is NO DIFFERENCE between obomba and romney and despite the leftist propaganda in the msm he's NOT garnering conservative support.

( If elected, Romney would have to listen to the conservative base - or risk its wrath at reelection time.)

If he wasn’t willing to listen to us to get elected the first time, why in the world would he listen to us as with all the advantages of being the incumbent president (very little likelihood of being challenged in the primary).

I'm expecting him to come up with a RINO VP and really prove how obtuse he is!

Outside of Massachusetts Romney is on foreign territory and doesn't speak a common language.

he has my support, not my heart, and I will vote for him no question about it, even though I do not give up my right to criticize him endlessly afterwards....

but in no way, shape or form will I do anything to reelect that dictator who's there now....
