So what do we think about Newt being Secretary of State?

Voting for RINOS/CINOs only encourages them.

“What’s he supposed to say, if I don’t win, vote for Obama? C’mon!”

How about if I don’t win, vote for a conservative?!

No Romney, no way.

“How about he kept his jowls shut? Are we to be expecting his concession speech now? He’s all but given up.”

No! Not at all!

Now, when Gingrich takes it all the way to the Convention and the delegates get to talk to each other, size up the blue-jeans-with-button-down-collar-Brooks-Brothers-shirt- wearer against The Cheerful One, replay all the Gaffes of the Gaffemeister, and realize the very idea that the American electorate would vote the tarp-supporting, Wall Street Corporate Raider, Obamneycare author ex-Governor of assechusetts into the Presidency was crazy;

the delegates will then nominate Gingrich at the convention so we at least have a CHANCE against the Demos, and Gingrich will then be in a position to demand the support of Romney and the establishment, which was withheld by Romney’s Dad and the Rockefeller Republicans in the Goldwater campaign of 1964. That’s all.

Bad news for Newt Freepers... they sunk all their emotional effort into Newt and now he says he’ll support Romney? I predict this web site will go up in flames...

No way! We are the resistance!

We’ll show them, we’ll stay home in November.

You can call names all you want, but you can't keep me from campaigning against liberals of all parties. Including Romney.

And trust me. I am, and I will.

That’s Gingrich playing Republican politics, but I won’t vote for Romney. But Gingrich, yes.

Perhaps you misjudge our understanding of politicians. We know that they are all functionaries, and to use the old phrase “seekers after office”. We are fine with that. We just happen to value our vote, monetary donations and professed support.

Newt will do as thousands of functionaries do unless they become statesmen — he will look for future employment should Romney become the nominee. Not us.

We will continue to ask for, look for and demand the efforts to save the nation. I know it seems old fashioned but we are sixteen years out of compromise.

Failing that we will stay right here speaking of the First Things, the value of the culture we received and posting to all that will respond.

We don’t have to all agree, just endure.

I predict this website will continue to support conservative values, causes, and leadership, and if there are no worthy politicians, it will support worthy generals.

The difference being is that it is expected of all and by all that the candidates will support the party and the nominee. We as prospective voters aren’t expected by all or obligated or bound to support the nominee or the party. There has been a lot of pressure on some to support Romney because he is inevitable or to at least declare that we will support him if he gets the nomination. If we make such a declaration we are counted as supporting Romney and that only makes him more inevitable and assures Romney he can expect Conservatives to fall in line without him even having to make any concessions or even promises to Conservtives other thant to proclaim himself to be severly conservative and not obama. I have two alternatives to Romney, Newt Gingrich and a brokered convention that could produce another candidate. I’ll not help Romney, let’s see who the nominee is and what our choices are. I would expect loyalty from Newt and for him to take any other path at this time except to pledge support for the party nominee would be wrong, I’m not held to the same expectation or standard.

Really? People are talking about the end of the country and CWII, and we are all supposed to be okay with Newt saying he’ll back Romney, who we’ve been screamed at on this site he’ll get us over the cliff at 85 MPH as opposed to Obama’s 100 MPH?!?! Do we really want the same ol’ same ol’ response from candidates if this election is as important as we supposedly say it is? Cripes.

I would think for one of the candidates to say they would not support the party nominee at this point would be tantamount to saying they will start a new party if they don’t get the nomination, which may not be a bad thing except for being to late in this cycle.
