California continues to drive business out of the state and Texas is certainly one of the main beneficiaries of their fiscal short-sightedness. There's plenty of room here for those looking to start or grow a business.
Folks that have owned their homes from the 70's on up....?
Or the people that have nothing, do nothing...and take everything they can?
That said....it's becoming clearer that D.C. doesn't care what millions want or think.

Correcto! I like the cigarette tax. It’s got a good chance of passing. Social conservatives will support it, much as they have done in many, many elections.
I’ll also go on record as saying that spending is out of control in California. New tax revenues are the last thing we need. However, the law of supply and demand says an increase in price will decrease consumption. That’s a good thing, and the reason thousands of conservatives will vote for the tax.

Yes, I find getting accurate information much easier with computer internet access. It used to be I had to start with the public library or the yellow pages.
Now, everything is available to find, you just have to be search savvy and have the time to wade through all of the noise and disinformation.
The bad side is that there is SO much bad information floating around and it gets frequently repeated. I’ve been badly fooled on a number of occasions.
Not me. Cigarette taxes have been raised and raised again and always produce less revenue. Once they produce less revenue - You are in Line for a TAX Increase!
I lived in Maryland, where cigarette taxes were higher than nearby Virginia. Guess where smokers bought their cigarettes and which state got more revenues? Guess which state is considering increasing their citizens TAXES LIKE CRAZY RIGHT NOW??
DOH!
Liberals, Progressives and RINOs are always ignorant when they get less revenues and are always Amazed at how creative the citizenry is in Defying the intent of there Taxation.
